Wingnut Wrapup

I've got to do something with my Memorial Day weekend, right?

Michelle Bachmann:  "And I think before his second term is over, we're going to see a miracle before our eyes, I believe God is going to answer our prayers and we'll be freed from the yoke of Obamacare. I believe that's going to happen and we saw step one last week with the repeal of Obamacare in the House."

Michelle, actually we've seen steps one through thirty seven with the thirty seven times the House has "repealed" Obamacare.  God sure does work in mysterious ways, doesn't he, since presumably if this is what he wants, he could have made it work the first time.

Nicholas Ballasay, PJ Media:  "Chaffetz Clarifies Impeachment Call to PJM: ‘We’re Not to That Point Yet’"

Yet.  Not yet.  Soon, though.

Laurie Roth, Renew America:  "So many reasons to impeach and try Obama for treason...Evil comes in all colors..."

No it doesn't, Laurie, not to you people.  For you, it only comes in one color.  If you know what I mean.  Laurie continues:

"We have murders and lying cover-ups all over the Benghazi nightmare, and the illegal IRS running our healthcare system as well.  Congress needs to start building the support of public opinion by doing weekly press conferences and carrying forth the reason and steps of either treason charges or impeachment charges. If they don't have the Senate behind them...yet... get the American people behind them with endless and building pressure of press conferences. This will put much needed media pressure on the Senate and more panic in the White House, causing Obama to slip up more and more."

The next three years of Republican governance, laid out in one paragraph.  Here's the funny thing- the Republican party survived the last time they ran off the track like this.  If they were to succeed in removing a popular President again, it would be the end for them.  No decent person could ever again countenance their participation in our government.

Oh yeah, sad to say, unless they go whole hog and just impose a dictatorship.  Which I hope, after all that's happened the last few decades, no one out there thinks is beneath them.  Well, at least one way or the other, it would be over with and we could get on with our lives in America or the American Reich.

Alan Caruba, Renew America:  "On a page from NOAA's National Severe Storms Laboratory offering "Tornado Basics," it asks and answers the question "How do tornadoes form?" It answers by saying "The truth is that we don't fully understand. The most destructive and deadly tornadoes occur from supercells, which are rotating thunderstorms with a well-defined radar circulation call a mesocyclone."

Greens love computer models to justify their absurd claims"

Absurd claims- science.  All the answers you need from Renew America's chief paid climate denier liar.

World Net Daily:  "Sheriff Joe to Congress: Investigate Obama's eligibility"

World to Sheriff Joe:  Grow up.

Mixed Metaphor of the Day:

Geoffrey P. Hunt, American Thinker:  "Obama Tosses a Grenade Into His Own Dugout"

Where's your editor when you need him, Geoffrey?

James Taranto, Wall Street Journal:  "Agents of the government heard President Obama, their ultimate boss, urging them to turn their attention toward evildoers."

And what could be worse than a President urging government employees to turn their attention toward evildoers!  How could the Republican party survive that?

Guy Benson, Red State:  "During Counterterrorism Speech, Woman Heckles Obama For Agreeing With Her"

This is how pathetic right wing attempts to embarass Obama are these days.  They've failed miserably on three straight phony scandals, and now they are reduced to jeering at him because someone heckled him.  However, to them, that is probably an impeachable offense.

Victor Davis Hanson, Town Hall:  "Government is now so huge, powerful and callous that citizens risk becoming proverbial serfs without the freedoms guaranteed by the Founders."

Well, I don't know what a proverbial serf might be, but we risk becoming real serfs if we don't crush the kind of people that pay Victor Davis Hanson's salary.

Guy Benson, Town Hall:  "Polls: Obama Approval Slides Amidst Scandals"

No it hasn't- his popularity is going up.  But what's one more lie in a million?

Erick Erickson:  "Yes, Christ is love, but he is also wrath, vengeance, and redemption. The modern emo Christ is a fiction. Christ could throw a punch."

And you know this how, Erick?  I don't remember him being into the pugilistic art when I read the Bible.  But I'm sure you know better.  People like you are so good at intuiting what Christ was into that he doesn't actually have to say anything about it for you to speak for him.  Like abortion, gay sex, evolution and climate change- you just know what he was thinking.  Not so much with things he actually said, like caring for the poor.  That, you aren't so sure about.

John Hayward, Human Events:  "More details on the Todashev shooting-The fatal encounter between a Tsarnaev associate and an FBI agent grows more complex"

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!  Maybe we can find another way to smear Obama here!

Bob Owens, Confederate Wankee:  "If Barack Obama had a son, he’d be a school-skipping, drug-abusing, gun-weilding, MMA-wannabe who picked a fight with the wrong guy "

No comment needed.  I think we all know where talk like that comes from.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Obama Fails to Salute US Marine – On His Way to Give Commencement Address at Naval Academy...The Commander in Chief failed to salute a Marine today."

Clutch your purses, girls!  We're all going down!

Politico:  "Darrell Issa: Lois Lerner lost her rights"

Legal advice from someone whose only experience with the justice system is as a criminal defendant.  Take it for what it's worth.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Bloody Hell! M15 Offered Woolwich Terrorist a Job Six Months Ago"

M15?  Maybe Jim means MI5?  God this guy really is the dumbest person on the internet.

Judie Brown, Renew America:  "Cardinal Dolan's mess...These are confusing times in which we live. During confusing times, we need leaders who can bring us out of the darkness and offer understanding and leadership. We don't need leaders who cannot teach or help us understand the difference between right and wrong...The cardinal could make this happen.  Let us pray that the cardinal flub becomes a cardinal moment of grace."

At last, a person on a right wing blog who has the decency to criticize a leader of the Catholic Church for not taking a forthright position against the massive child rape that occurred under his watch.  Congratulations for your honesty, Judie...Oh, wait, Cardinal Dolan doesn't seem to give a damn about that.  What Judie is complaining about is that he hasn't excommunicated the Governor of New York for following the law about abortions.  Fooled me again, wingnuts!  Just when I thought that once, in all the years I have been covering you, one of you might do the decent thing.  Oh well, where there's hope there's life.

Sher Zieve, Renew America:  "Now fact: all aspects ObamaGov completely corrupt/criminal"

Wha?  She's finally gone completely off the deep end.  Sorry, Sher- I warned you over and over again to get help.

Jonathon Moseley, American Thinker:  "U.S. Military: We Could Have Saved Ambassador Stevens"

A classic wingnut piece of "journalism."  In fact, Mr. Moseley fails to provide anyone from the military who says that, but mentions two Secretaries of Defense who say the exact opposite.  Mr. Moseley, who appears to be an ambulance chasing lawyer with no military background, knows better.

Kathy Shaidle, World Net Daily:  "Tornado sweeping away Obama scandals?"

God has spoken, Kathy.  Heed his acts.

Alan Keyes, Renew America:  "Totalitarian subversion--can we awaken from the nightmare?"

Sure, if you stop drinking yourself into a stupor every night before bedtime, jackass.

VD Hanson, apt intials, is trying to steal the Serf meme, because like all right-wing agents of the Plutocracy he wants the American People to vote themselves into Wage Slavery and Corporate Serfdom.

FDR's and the 20th century government gave people some power and curbed the rampant abuses of the Plutocracy.

VDH hates that!

Hanson is a real piece of work. I've followed him for years- he used to be regarded as a reputable historian, but is now (very deservedly) consigned to the hellholes of wingnut blathering.

Yup, we have seen it, you are not going to run again, thanks.
