Wingnut Wrapup- Benghazi Edition

Benghazi.  Never in the course of human events have corrupt politicians made so much out of so little.  Luckily for the country, rarely in the course of human events have sane people cared so little for a phony scandal.  Of course some people do care, or at least they claim to- thus the following:

Katie Pavlich, Town Hall:  "Hillary Clinton's Big Benghazi Lie...Testimony given Wednesday on Capitol Hill by Greg Hicks, Benghazi whistleblower and deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya, exposed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as a liar.  Hillary Clinton lied, Rice lied, Barack Obama lied, Jay Carney lied, the Obama administration lied. The men in Libya were left to die as military forces were told to stand down.  Bring on the perjury hearings. What difference does it make? A big difference."

More lies from Town Hall's resident bimbo and congenital liar Katie Pavlich.  They'll just never admit that there is a big difference between lying and not having the President and Secretary of State spill their guts with every single piece of intelligence we have about what was still an ongoing situation.  Of course, when Bush and Cheney lied us into a ruinous war, that was just fine with them. And by the way, it took one day after Greg Hicks' testimony for his fellow Foreign Service officers in Libya to reveal that he was lying.  Of course, lies that attack Democrats are perfectly acceptable.

Moe Lane, Red State:  "This is probably the point where the Hillary 2016 effort will be judged by future researchers to have started to slide off of the beam...Hillary Clinton simply doesn’t have the personal charisma to disassociate herself from the implications of Benghazi."

Keep telling yourself that, Moe.  And keep believing this, too:

"The general rule here is Command takes responsibility. JFK survived the Bay of Pigs incident because he embraced that rule. Nixon didn’t survive Watergate because he didn’t."

JFK survived the Bay of Pigs "incident" because people believed he was a decent person doing the best he could, and because it was planned by the previous Republican administration.  Nixon didn't survive Watergate because people believed he was (not to put too fine a point on it) a crook.  And also, let us not forget, JFK didn't do anything wrong, and Nixon was a crook.  Well, Hillary didn't do anything wrong either, so don't put any money on your theory that she is sinking fast.

Bryan Preston, PJ Media:  "The Monsters Are Due on Benghazi Avenue...What an old Twilight Zone episode can tell us about the attack in Benghazi."

Huh?  Man, they are desperate for an excuse to blame something on Obama and Hillary.

Roger L. Simon, PJ Media:  "Benghazi Continues: Benghazi has only just begun."

Oy.  Sad to say, this is probably one of the only things Conservatives have had to say lately that is true.

Abraham Miller, PJ Media:  "Benghazi and the Lust for Power...Did the president sacrifice four American lives on the altar of ambition?"

No.  But that won't stop you from trying out that lie, to see if you can get away with it, huh, Abraham?  And when that doesn't work, I'm sure you will be ready with the next one.  Here's an interesting historical observation from Abe:

"While candidate Clinton killed one person to get Gennifer Flowers off the front pages, President Clinton was willing to bomb an entire country to get Monica Lewinsky out of the news cycle."

Well, at least no one is going to call Mr. Miller "honest Abe" any time soon.  The country Abraham is talking about happens to be where Clinton tried to kill Osama Bin Laden.  But of course, according to Republicans pre 9-11, Osama was not a threat, and Clinton was only after him to divert attention from Republican smears.  It is exactly this line of thinking that led Bush and Cheney to dismiss ex-Clinton staffers when they begged them to focus on Bin Laden.  How did that work out for us?

So, I was thinking about writing a whole wingnut wrapup about this Benghazi garbage- and it certainly goes on and on.  But, enough is enough, don't you think?   Let's just turn to a little general insanity.  First, this immensely important breaking story from Breitbart:

Need I even point out that the "evidence" from Hitler's doctors is going to turn out to be a total forgery?  And even if it were true, so what?  Stalin, Mussolini, Attila the Hun, Dick Cheney and Genghis Khan were all heterosexual.  So, what does that prove?

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Multi-Millionaire Pelosi Can’t Go See the Troops for Mother’s Day Because of Sequestration"

A travesty! A travesty of a mockery of...oh, you get it.  Because it is a sacred part of the duty of the House minority leader to go see the troops on Mother's Day.

Lloyd Marcus, Renew America:  "King David impregnated Uriah's wife. Then, David ordered that Uriah be killed to cover up his sin. When confronted about his evil by the prophet of God, David fessed-up, repented and begged God to forgive him. We are all capable of evil. Though King David was a flawed human being, by repenting, David displayed humility and character.

Unfortunately, King Obama has neither."

On the other hand, King Obama never impregnated Uriah's wife, and as far as we know, he has never been personally confronted by God.  Get back to us when that happens, Lloyd.

And now the stupidest remark of the year:

Dick Morris, The Hill:  "Americans can stand pretty much anything, but not being lied to by their president."

Ha ha.  Dick Morris.  I don't even need to point out what a monumental pile of horse dung that statement is.  Remember your guy Bush?  Remember your guy Reagan and "trickle down economics?"  Your kind of Americans, Dick, love being lied to.

Joseph Farah, World Net Daily:  "What country am I living in?"

Joseph, you don't even seem to know what planet you are living on.

And now, the Gold Award for the Biggest Paranoid Delusion of the Week!

Aaron Klein, World Net Daily:  "Bengazi tied to ... Boston bombing?"

See what I mean about people from World Net Daily actually living on another planet?

Alan Keyes, World Net Daily:  "Will Americans embrace synoptic thinking?"

Synoptic thinking? What the hell is that?  Well, here's some of Alan's evidence:

"Data: U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., says he believes open purchase orders from the Department of Homeland Security to buy over 1 billion rounds of ammunition are part of an “intentional” effort by the Obama administration to “dry up the market” for gun-owning citizens.

Data: Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin believes the federal government is “stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.”

Okay, now I understand.  'synoptic' is apparently a synonym for 'terminally stupid.'

Norman Rogers, American Thinker:  "Is Roy Spencer the world's most important scientist?"

And just who is Roy Spencer?  I bet you will never guess that he writes papers claiming to disprove global warming.  Here are a few more things about Roy Spencer:

'Spencer has been a columnist for TCS Daily, writing over forty columns, almost entirely on the the topic of global warming. Until 2006, TCS Daily was run by DCI Group, a lobbying firm that works for ExxonMobil...Spencer was a speaker at the International Conference on Climate Change (2009) organized by the (Koch brothers funded) Heartland Institute...Spencer is a board member of the George C. Marshall Institute.  GMI is a front group to which Exxon and others funnel corporate dollars to advance a corporate agenda...Spencer has been active in advocating Intelligent Design over evolution, and argued in 2005 that its teaching should be mandatory in schools."

Well, I can see why right wingers think he is the world's most important scientist.  He's the only one they could find who is as big a liar as they are.

Breitbart.com:  "McCain Jokes: Kerry Doing 'Sh*tty Job'

That's Conservatives' idea of a joke.

David Horowitz, National Review Online:  "How Obama Betrayed America...A policy of non-intervention abets our enemies."

Obama betrayed America by not starting more wars.  The Conservative view on foreign relations in a nutshell.

Astute Bloggers:  "ON THE KIDNAPPING OF THREE WOMEN THAT HAS BECOME 24/7 NEWS JUST IN TIME TO PREEMPT THE BENGHAZI HEARINGS."

The Astute Bloggers think this is one more Obama dirty trick.  Actually, of course, it shows how little the American people care about the Republicans' Benghazi circus.

Alexis Levinson, Hot Air:  "Republicans hit Clinton over Benghazi testimony"

Didn't their mothers ever tell them that it's wrong to hit a woman?

Katie Pavlich, Town Hall:  "Rand Paul: Hillary Clinton Should Never Hold High Office Again After Benghazi"

Sorry to be so blunt, but fuck you, Rand.  And fuck you too, Katie.  Here's Rand's jackass opinion:

"When I took Hillary Rodham Clinton to task in January for the mishandling of security in Benghazi, Libya, I told her that if I had been president at the time, I would have relieved her of her post"

Yeah, sure.  Right after you'd gotten done relieving the rest of us of our wallets.

World Net Daily EXCLUSIVE:  "Leftist media employ devious, sinister tactic...American news media are deliberately reshaping war-on-terror terminology for propaganda purposes to prevent radical Muslims from being perceived in a negative light in the wake of the 9/11 attacks a decade ago."

Oh my God!  What will we ever do?  After all, no major news entity like World Net Daily would ever make such a charge without a solid, reasonable source, right?

"That’s the claim of Pamela Geller, author of the just-released book, “Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance.”

Pamela Geller.  Oh, I see.  The most insane Muslim hater in the U.S. today, and the indirect inspiration for the Sandy Hook murders.  Pam Geller, who is so filled with violent racism that she was effectively banned from Wingnut Wrapup years ago- and anyone who reads Wingnut Wrapup knows how bad you have to be to get banned here.  Great source there.

John Ransom, Town Hall:  "Obama Cheated, That’s How...Conservatives who have been wondering how Obama survived the 2012 election now have fuel for the common complaint that he stole the election by cheating...Obama survived the 2012 presidential election because he told the American people that he kept them safe from terror; that he had Al Qaida on the run; that he was fighting America’s battles smarter than before."

Yes, it was cheating to lie.  What that has to say about Romney, whose entire campaign was an endless succession of lies, I don't know, because John doesn't mention that.  These pathetic saps are going to spend the rest of their lives trying to explain away the loss that their dreadful candidate had.  They still will not admit that a black man won the White House twice, even after their Republican leaders did everything they could to destroy the economy during Obama's first term.  Talk about sore losers.  And by the way, Obama wasn't lying, he was telling the truth.  To Republicans, that really is cheating.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Cardinal O’Malley to Boycott Boston College Commencement Over Pro-Abortion Speaker"

Great.  That saves all of the other attendees from having to boycott the Commencement over a pro-child rape speaker.

Selwyn Duke, Renew America:  "What's the difference between Mark Sanford and Bill Clinton?"

One of those two guys led the country through eight years of relative peace and prosperity, and balanced the Federal budget.  The other one took a hike to Argentina.  I think that just about explains it.

World Net Daily:  "Lawmakers turn Capitol into house of prayer"

It might do more good if they turned it into a psychiatric clinic.  All they need are the doctors- they've already got the patients.

And I think that's a good place to call it quits for today.
