Wingnut Wrapup

If you read Wingnut Wrapup, you may remember me complaining a couple of times recently about the listlessness that seems to have overtaken the right.  Here's a comment  from Daily Kos' Hate-Mal-a-Palooza, on Saturday, Feb. 16, making the same point:

"I've started to worry that the wingnuts are simply too demoralized and turned off by politics to ever pick up the pace again. It's not just my hate mail, it's Fox News ratings (down to a 12-year low in January), it's the unexpected string of Republican capitulations since the election, it's the fact that House Speaker John Boehner hasn't been able to pass anything of worth with a majority of his own caucus, it's the fact that conservatives are directing their fire at each other, rather than liberals, it's all the gay marrying, the pot, the "demographic winter" (as the racists call it). Heck, even my twitter trolls are quiet of late.

Apparently, the people who used to send me hate mails are now sending them to Karl Rove and Haley Barbour instead. Or they're too depressed to find they are the fringe minority, from the White House, to the marriage equality initiatives, to the loss of so many poster boys like Richard Mourdock and Todd Akins. Whatever the reason, I can't have a hate mail feature without content."

Anyway, this certainly corresponds with my experience.  I remember when I could put together a Wingnut Wrapup every day if I could stand it.  Not that they are churning out less lies and smears, mind you; no, they are such boring and repetitive ones that I can't bring myself to bother you with them.  Well, on to their weak performance the last few days:

Leah Barkoukis, Town Hall:  "Gun Companies to Law Enforcement in Anti-Gun States: We’re Not Doing Business With You Anymore"

Well, guys, it's a free country.  Keep your guns.  Sell them only to criminals.  What do we care?

John Ransome, Town Hall:  "Asteroids, Polar Bear Cannibalism Lead to Global Warming, or, uh, Something Bad "

They aren't even trying to be coherent any more.  Just string some words together, string them together with a dose of contempt, and move on to the next lie.

David Morgan, Town Hall:  "Catholic bishops ask Congress for contraceptives reprieve"

Don't bother, guys, you can't get a teenage boy pregnant by raping him.  No matter what some Republican Senator might have told you.

Howard Nemerov, PJ Media:  " L.A. Times: Violent Movies Don’t Cause Violence, but Guns Do...Understanding the fractured mind of a gun-ban fetishist."

What kind of person would think that?  Man, those liberals are crazy, huh?  I mean, people are out there killing people with DVD's of the latest teen action movie every day.

Larry Klayman, Renew America:  "It is ironic indeed that just as one socialist dictator, Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, is about to expire of terminal cancer on his deathbed in a Cuban hospital, another one, who is much more powerful, is seeking to extend his control in a Stalinist "gulag style" power grab. Unlike Chavez and his also-dying buddy, Cuban communist strongman Fidel Castro, our fraudulently elected ineligible president is not just some two-bit dictator-terrorist of a Third World country; he is the so-called leader of the free world – an oxymoron if there ever was one since the "mullah in chief's" apparent plans are to eliminate individual freedoms and instead install a "Big Brother" regime domestically and worldwide through his comrades at the United Nations and their Agenda 21... he knows that it is only a matter of a short time that his Stalinist power grab will force law-abiding, God-fearing citizens to rise up in revolution"

No, Larry, tell us what you really think:

"The black helicopters in recent weeks have been flying overhead in major American cities, such as Miami, Chicago and Houston, firing practice rounds from government-issued machine guns."

Black helicopters.  Right.  Gotcha, Larry.  And here I thought that black helicopter thing was a joke.  Apparently not, if we are to believe Larry.  Get that tinfoil back on your head, guy, before you start raving about the lizard people.

Judie Brown, Renew America:  "America's young people don't measure up to the academic standards of other nations, but when it comes to sex they are right up there in the top two or three."

Well, at least they are excelling in something, Judy.  America, yeah!

"Professor Helen Alvare, among others, echoes these sentiments when she suggests that the pro-life movement will never succeed in ending abortion if it does not first address the underlying cause of pregnancy."

I guess she skipped sex ed too, huh?  They'd have taught her what the cause of pregnancy is. It really isn't that mysterious to anyone over ten.

Paul Hsieh, PJ Media:  "Would New Gun Laws Spark Widespread Civil Disobedience?"

God, I hope they do.  Then we could treat a whole bunch of these evil, hate filled gun bastards the way Christopher Dorner was treated.  That would shut them up for a while.  Sorry to be so angry about this, but I'm sick of being threatened that if we don't do what Conservatives want, they are going to go on a rampage and start shooting people.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Obama White House Boycotts FOX News on Sunday Talk Shows — But Will Hold Direct Talks With Iran"

They know who our country's real enemies are.

Glenn Fairman, American Thinker:  "The news media have made an overt decision to avert your eyes away from the stone cold reality that young blacks are increasingly committing crimes against life and property by the medium of flash mob violence."

Maybe they're not paying attention because you just made that accusation up out of nothing, Glenn.  Will it surprise anyone that, in Glenn's entire article there is not one single statistic concerning this supposed epidemic of violence, nor even a single horror story of such an event?

Michael Moller, American Thinker:  "There Is No 'Good Regulation'...How many live-saving drugs are never developed because of the prohibitive cost of regulation?"

How many life-killing drugs are prohibited because of the existence of regulation?  "Regulations" are just laws against things that corporations do.  Does anyone really think that people become morally perfect when they file articles of incorporation?  No one is that stupid, not even Michael.  So, he must be lying.  Big surprise, huh?

And, it's been a while since we checked in with our old friend Henry Makow for his unique perspective on world events:

Henry Makow:  "Rosa Parks - Proof Communists Run America.   Rosa Parks (1913-2005) was a Communist Party member who worked as a secretary for the NAACP,  a Communist Jewish banker front. Her refusal to move to the back-of-the-bus was staged by her handlers.  Last week, she was honored by a stamp. In two week she will be honored with a statue in the Capitol.   Was Karl Marx unavailable?"

Roger Simon, Pajamas Media:  "Defeating Obama with Aikido"

Well, it's worth a try- after all, you can't defeat him with votes.

Erik Rush, Canada Free Press:  "In May of this year the APA (American Psychiatric Association) will release its fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)...One begins to see how having such a biased organization whimsically defining and re-defining mental illness in light of recent political developments might be, shall we say, troublesome to say the very least.  So, what new diagnoses, designations, and revisions might be included in the DSM-5?...a host of (conditions) might be used as a pretext for one’s designation as a mental defective.

In the case of those who pose the most dire threat to Obama’s designs – Christians – these will certainly be targeted. After all, who more demonstrably epitomizes mental instability in the eyes of the Marxist atheist than those who commune with and rely upon that which is unseen?"

Well, Erik, as far as I am concerned, being an evangelical "Christian" does provide strong evidence that you are mentally defective.  And if you really believe what you sad above, it's pretty obvious in your case.  So there.

Todd Starnes, Town Hall:  "NBC: Bullies or Bigots?  Does NBC hate Christians?"

Grow up, Todd.  No one likes an asshole.

John Gizzi, Human Events:  "Obama blames GOP — again — for sequestration"

There he goes again- telling the truth.

Ron Radosh, PJ Media:  "The ‘Red’ White but Not True Blue: The Truth about Harry Dexter White — Soviet Agent"

Ever heard of Harry Dexter White?  He died in 1948.  And he ain't coming back.  Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel for some sort of "liberal" scandal.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "BOMB SQUAD CALLED After Protesting Mineworkers Leave Suspicious Package at Peabody Coal...A bomb squad was called after the mineworkers left a suspicious package in the lobby today.  KTVI reported:  The St. Louis City police bomb and arson squad is working the scene of a suspicious package in downtown St. Louis.  The package was discovered just after 6:00 pm at Peabody Plaza, which has been the scene of protest by activist and retired miner protesting the use of coal for power plants and retired miners benefits."

Well, that's just horrible!  Commie bastards!  Here's the sentence that Jim couldn't find room for in his report:

"It was determined after a search of the contents of the backpack, that it contained only clothes"

I guess that detail was irrelevant to the story.

Judie Brown, Renew America:  "Are Catholics getting what we deserve?"

Judie, if you are still supporting the Church hierarchy, you're not getting what you deserve unless you're getting screwed up against the wall in the gym shower room.  Sorry to be so blunt, but that's what it takes to get through to people like you.

Funny, and sad. These shmucks are on the wrong side of public opinion on almost every issue. Protecting the rich, fossil fuel, gun makers, bankers, fake universities, monopoly hospital corps., I hope they keep it up at least till next election.

“time of tribulation, the seventh seal, wrath of trumpets and bowls, some bunch of Biblical codes, mandating the Sabbath on a different day”… yeah we should worry about THAT stuff instead.

Instead of mass extinctions, devastating storms and a big-ass rock falling out of the sky at thousands of miles an hour– which of course never happens.
