Has Hillary Just About Broken Trump?
Donald Trump, this weekend:
I remember before the conventions, when a couple days of Hillary poking away at Trump nearly led to his having a total breakdown. Hillary backed off then; I've always expected it was because she didn't want to drive him out of the race, and be faced with running against someone who was superficially sane.
Well, here we are again, after a couple of months of rope-a-dope: some minor needling about an issue that any other candidate would just ignore, and he's accusing Hillary of having committed adultery, without a shred of evidence, and without, apparently, thinking for a second that he did what he is accusing Hillary of having done.
Oh, and in the same speech, he goes into another episode of his beloved imitation of sick people:
A few more well-placed statements from Hillary, and this guy may not even make it to the next debate, and I place the odds at 50-50 at this point that he doesn't get through the debate without a colossal breakdown, the likes of which we have never seen before in American politics.
Of course, the sad truth is that this will probably peel off virtually zero of the America-hating racists that are intending to vote for him: the sputtering violence is, to them, a major feature, the insolence and hatred the reason they love him.
Well, there is a slight chance that his "handlers" might find a way to drug him (I do not believe any sort of persuasion could possibly work) into a state of somnolence that might get him through the next debate- we'll see. You just know he's not getting through it on his own.
“I don’t even think she’s loyal to Bill, if you want to know the truth,” Trump said as his crowd cheered. “And really, folks, really, why should she be? Right? Why should she be?”
