Wingnut Wrapup

I must say that the wingnuts have been particularly boring the last few weeks.  Well, here is the best of a bad lot, today dedicated to the great Republican patriots in Arizona who voted to censure their Senator, John McCain, for not being conservative enough:

Daniel Doherty, Town Hall:  "New Study: It’s Cheaper for Young People to Opt Out of Obamacare than to Enroll"

Until they get sick.  Come to think of it, it's cheaper not to have health insurance than to have it, until you get sick.  That's sort of how health insurance works, dumbass.

Conn Carol, Town Hall:  "How Should Conservatives Respond To Obamacare's Medicaid Expansion?"

By hating the black guy, of course.  That's how Conservatives respond to everything these days, isn't it?

Bob Owens, Bearing Arms:  "The Barrett effect: it’s time to stop selling firearms to government agencies in California"

Hey, I thought the right of the people to bear arms should not be abridged?  Oh, I guess that was the right of Conservative people to bear arms.

Alan Caruba,Renew America:  "Obama's State of the Union speech will be all lies"

I guess he sent you a copy in advance, huh, Alan?

And a classic example of Republicans trying to whitewash Bush by accusing Obama of everything Bush did wrong:

Michael Maloof, World Net Daily:  "Obama called for war based on bogus intel"

Ha.  Sound familiar?  Of course they're lying about Obama, but I think some recent President spent $3 trillion lying us into war not that long ago.

Jack Minor, World Net Daily:  "Retired Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, chairman of Stand Up America, has just unveiled the liberals’ worst nightmare, a plan to unite the tea party into a vast army..."

I'm shaking in my shoes already.  A vast army of what, mental defectives?

And man, is World Net Daily on a roll today:

World Net Daily:  "Rock star unloads: Obama a 'subhuman mongrel'

That should read "pathetic ex- rock star from long ago, now desperate for any attention he can get."  And you know who I'm talking about.  After all, he's the only right wing ex-rock star in the country.
Cortney O'Brien, Town Hall:  "Bristol Palin: Wendy Davis' Story is 'Downright Pathethic'"

Like we really care what the daughter of a failed media whore, whose own personal greatest accomplishment was becoming a single mother as a teenager, thinks about anything.

Katie Pavlich, Town Hall:  " Greg Abbott Responds to Vicious Liberal Attacks About His Disability..."Denigrating the disabled is unworthy of Texas"

Of course, letting them starve to death because we don't want to pay taxes is just great.  By the way, in case you're wondering, I'm not going to deal with what this is about- it has just about as much reality as every other Conservative smear job you've ever heard, which you could figure out just from knowing that it comes from that O'Keefe asshole.

Leah Barkoukis, Town Hall:  "Microstamping Law Forces Smith & Wesson to Stop Selling New Guns in California"

No it didn't.  What forced Smith & Wesson to stop selling new guns in California is greed so great that they won't spend a few cents per gun to help police catch murderers.  Oh, and 'bye guys...we'll do just fine in California without you.  I'd much rather have a P226 anyway.

Tim Dunkin, Renew America:  "It's time for conservatives to let the blue states burn"

Stop living off our tax money, and I'm ready to give it a try.

Alan Caruba, Renew America:  "The EPA's agenda: undermine capitalism and America"

Well, actually, Alan, the Environmental Protection Agency's agenda is to prevent people from being poisoned en masse by corporations.  What it really tries to undermine is out of control greed.  Of course, maybe you are right- maybe that is all capitalism is.

James Pethokoukis, Ricochet:  "Is There Really Nothing We Can Do to Improve Family Stability for Lower-Income Americans?"

How about raising the minimum wage and extending unemployment, dumbass?  But no, James has another answer:  "marriage promotion."  That will work great, right?

And now, this exciting announcement:

Before It's News:  "Swastika Symbol Linked to Advanced Technology"

Well, there's some news we all need to hear.  I wonder what motivated these guys to print this story?  No, on second thought, I don't want to know.

Kurt Schlichter, Town Hall:  "Have you noticed how the Establishment invents a lot of special rules that only seem to apply to conservatives?"

No.

"Have you noticed how these rules always involve preventing conservatives from winning?"

No, I've never noticed that either.  In fact, the exact opposite is true.  Particularly the Establishment rule that you are not allowed to mention the fact that Conservatives have nothing to contribute to the nation but lies and greed.

"And have you noticed how these rules never, ever seem to apply to our enemies?"

"Enemies."  Maybe you wouldn't be so prone to buying into paranoid delusions of persecution of you didn't believe that anyone who disagrees with you on anything is your enemy.  So, Kurt, you just went 0 for 3- none of your claims is true.  But you knew that already, didn't you?  And you also knew that, without lies, you've got nothing.

Carol Platt Liebeau, Town Hall:  "Rand Paul: Clinton Engaged in "Predatory Behavior"

Yup, this is about Monica Lewinski.  That's what they've got- a meaningless scandal from 20 years ago, about a Democratic President who gave us 8 years of relative peace and prosperity.  That's it.  That's their campaign right there.

Jonah Goldberg, National Review Online:  "Satan and the Constitution...The Constitution is powerless against Satan."

Do you want to know any more about this?  I didn't think so.  Neither do I.  Let's just move on.

Town Hall:  "George Will on Clintons: All They've Done Their Entire Life Is Borrow Money From Rich People"

I guess George forgot the part where Hillary served in the Senate and as Secretary of State, and Bill was a governor and the President.  Well, I guess I can understand why they would like to forget them.  Balancing the Federal budget and solving foreign problems without going to war just aren't the kind of thing they are really into.

Bryan Preston, PJ Media:  "Austin American-Statesman Suggests that James O’Keefe and Osama bin Laden Have Something in Common"

What an outrage!  Let me tell you what Osama Bin Laden and James O'Keefe did not have in common:  Osama believed what he said.

David Waciski, American Thinker:  "Guns Don't Kill People, Democrats Kill People"

Hey! Finally, an answer to gun violence!  Just kill all the Democrats!  Why didn't anyone think of that before?

The “"Swastika Symbol Linked to Advanced Technology" article asks an interesting question:

“How deep are you willing to go in exploring the abyss that is you?”

For Right wingers … no abyss is deep enough.

I stopped reading at that point, however.

Based on Larry Klayman's recent record, a vast army of imaginary mental defectives. They're the best kind.

And the May 16th overthrow of the government is now predicting that 10-20 million people are going to show up, including 2 million militia members.

The SPLC puts the current militia membership in the country at about 20,000. I guess they're gearing up for a big membership drive.
