Wingnut Wrapup

A little entertainment while we're waiting for the right to find a way to blame the Japanese earthquake on Obama:

Thomas Sowell, Town Hall:  "The biggest myth about labor unions is that unions are for the workers."

Very sage observation there, Thomas.  Of course unions are not for the workers.  Who would be dumb enough to believe that?  The minimum wage, the 40 hour week, the fight for social security, worker safety provisions, child labor laws...why, we all know that those things were just a cover to hide who the unions are really for- the Martians.  If the unions were really for the workers, they would make their bosses richer, so the bosses would raise workers' pay.  No, this is all about the Martians, and their plans to flood the country with their cheap Martian made goods.  And we all know what they call Mars:  the red planet.  Think that's just a coincidence?  Take it from me, you've just heard the real story.

Red State:  "The Monsters of McMinnville, Oregon"

Teachers.  Now they're not thugs any more, they're monsters.  Although, thinking back to my fifth grade teacher, Miss Brown, maybe they have a point.  She did have awfully sharp teeth.

Confederate Yankee:  "As speculation leaks out this morning that Syria aircraft and ground troops may be fighting Libyan rebels on behalf of Qaddafi's dictatorship, it makes me wonder how many lives might eventually be saved if there was a way for forming something like the American Volunteer Group that fought for the Chinese in world War II. You probably know them better as the Flying Tigers."

What a great idea by the violence-obsessed Yankee guy.  And it will work really well as soon as we find a bunch of pilots that can afford to shell out the $30 million or so for an F-16.  And the insurance!  Just ask that Progressive girl what it costs for collision coverage on a fighter plane.  Believe me, you don't want to know.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "SHRIEKING LEFTIST MOB Shuts Down Town Hall Meeting in Wisconsin"

So...they learned something from the teabaggers, huh, Jim?  You guys must be so proud.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Breaking: 2 US Marshals & 1 Police Officer Shot in St. Louis City"

Hey, good news, Jim.  That's three freeloading government union thugs who won't be collecting their fat pensions, right?

Paul Greenberg, Town Hall:  "When a Lie Isn't One"

Bet you already guessed the answer to this one:  It's when it is told by a Republican!  On the other hand, even when Democrats tell the truth, it's a lie.  That's just the way God planned it.

Chuck Norris, Town Hall:  "Public Education: Progressive Indoctrination Camps"

Can you believe what an asshole this guy is?  So now, when a kid is sitting in third grade learning long divison, that's some sort of Communist brainwashing.  Actually, maybe Chuck has a point there.  It seems like teaching anyone the truth is Communism these days.  Chuck continues:

"What happens when socio-political agendas or scientific paradigms dominate academic views to the exclusion of a minority's even being mentioned?"

You know what, that is wrong.  We all know what issues Chuck is talking about here.  I think his "minority views" should be taught in public schools.  So kids will know what a bunch of ignorant, stupid liars they are, and hopefully in twenty or thirty years, we'll have a bunch of adults in this country that won't allow their time to be wasted with right wing crap.

Sher Zieve, Renew America:  "Every day it is more and more obvious that the now fully Marxist/Leninist Democrat Party USA will never accept election results unless their members win. Irrespective of the state of our nation, they are bound and determined to carry on their theft of our goods as their corrupt Unions continue to demand that taxpayers — who earn far less on average than do they — foot the bill for their grotesquely expansive lifestyles."

"Look folks, unlike the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan — or any other wars we have ever fought in our country — the war we are now fighting comes from within"

Well, I guess we all know teachers and firemen who have grotesquely expansive lifestyles.  The nerve of them to expect Sher to help pay their salaries.  We can always count on Sher to put the conservative position in the most offensive, fact-free manner possible.

And now, today's grand award for delusion above and beyond the call of duty:

American Spectator:  "Bush Tax Cuts Still Working -- For Now...They've rescued Obama once."

Rescued him from what?  From still being a Senator?  If Bush hadn't mangled the economy, do you think the American people would have voted for the Black man?

Steve McCann, American Thinker:  "Confiscate Americans' Wealth to Pay Government Workers?"

Well, that is sort of how it works, isn't it?  Otherwise, not that many of them would show up each day.  Really, what do you expect them to do, hold bake sales to pay the garbage collectors?  Or maybe the "private charity" conservatives are always talking about could collect money to feed them.  Hey, or just pay them nothing and force them to work for free.  It worked in the Confederacy.

By the way, this whole issue provides one more proof of my contention that, when it comes to right wingers, it's all about "cut my taxes."  That's the sum total of their beliefs and desires.  The rest is all just window dressing.

John Ransom, Town Hall:  "Incivility Rage in Madison and Middle East Townhall Finance: Unrest at home and abroad is rattling markets despite enough liquidity to keep the economy moving."

Well, that makes sense.  Workers, just shut your God damned mouths and take whatever you're given.  Otherwise, you are going to interfere with some Wall Street guy's chances to make a couple of hundred million this year.  I mean, fair is fair.  Shared sacrifice and all that, right?

Confederate Yankee:  "Obama/Unions Sow Discord, Create Fertile Ground For Terrorist Threats"

Yes indeed, if workers don't  let themselves be raped by the rich, they are on the side of the terrorists.

Herbert London, Pajamas Media:  "What sounds like wisdom can sometimes be revealed as nonsense."

You know what, Herbert?  What sounds like nonsense can sometimes also be revealed as nonsense. As you guys prove every day.

Dan Miller, Pajamas Media:  "How Today's Liberals Betray Yesterday's"

I know this isn't the answer that you are looking for, Dan, but today's liberals are betraying yesterdays by sitting on their hands and doing next to nothing while totalitarian conservatives destroy everything yesterday's liberals fought so hard for.  That means you, Barack (among many others.)

Stuart Schwartz, American Thinker:  "The Soft Evil of Barack Obama...We have a leader in the vanguard of a malevolence pushing into the mainstream through a thousand barely perceptible actions and words."

Translation:  We can't find anything to blame him for, so we'll just accuse him of being evil for doing things that we can't even perceive.

And as a final comment today, I want to point out that another day has gone by, and the "far left protester" Patrick J. Knauf is still missing in action, after having been let out on $3000 bail while awaiting his "trial" for terrorist bombing threats.  Also, Kevin William Harpham, the MLK parade bomber and right wing asshole, has not been found worthy of a mention on any right wing blog I have seen.  Their lies vanish without a trace, replaced by an endless stock of new ones, while the ugly truth remains a no-show in the right wing internet world.

GE: "Can you believe what an asshole this guy is? So now, when a kid is sitting in third grade learning long divison, that's some sort of Communist brainwashing. Actually, maybe Chuck has a point there."

[Groucho Marx voice]: "But if he does a comb-over, no one will notice it."

GE: "It seems like teaching anyone the truth is Communism these days. Chuck continues":

"What happens when socio-political agendas or scientific paradigms dominate academic views to the exclusion of a minority's even being mentioned?"

This, of course, means Chuckie is pissed because public schools don't teach that 6,000 years ago the Baby Jesus made the universe in 6 days then rested.

And all we have to show for it are these thousands of pedophile priests.

Sigh.

That's some classic projection from Schwartz: "...Vanguard of a malevolence pushing into the mainstream through a thousand barely perceptible actions and words."

This fits FOX(R) and the GOP to a tee.
