Here we go again:
Fairbanks Police Chief Loren Zager said the operation involved multiple police actions related to Fairbanks-area members of the "sovereign citizen" movement."
The Sovereign Citizen movement, whose adherents have perpetrated a continuous series of violent incidents over the years; most recently the murder of two policemen by Sovereign Citizen leader Jerry Kane and his son, and probably the attack on Congresswoman Giffords.
These guys represent the extreme in wingnut hatred of paying taxes, as they are just begging for opportunities to kill someone to strike their blow against the notion that we have a responsibility to pay for the services we receive; sad to say this movement is today only a step or two to the right of many supposedly mainstream Republican figures. How many of these acts can be foiled before another one of these pigs succeeds like Jared Lee Loughner?
Of course, as with Loughner and such characters as Kane and Shawna Forde, the mainstream press will do everything it can to help the Sarah Palins and Glenn Becks of this world deny that they have anything to do with this sort of thing. And thus it will get worse and worse. And in the end, what?
"Five people in the Fairbanks area were arrested Thursday by state and federal law enforcement on charges connected with an alleged plot to kidnap or kill state troopers and a Fairbanks judge.
...Investigation also revealed that extensive surveillance on troopers in the Fairbanks area had occurred, specifically on the locations of the homes for two Alaska state troopers," the statement said. "Furthermore, (the suspects) had acquired a large cache of weapons in order to carry out attacks against their targeted victims. Everyone knows conservatives are terrorists many are just too scared to state it for fear a conservative will shoot them.
