Wingnut Wrapup

It's Fat Tuesday tomorrow!  And for Republicans, it's Dumb Tuesday- as it is every week.  And here they go:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "In November the Obama Administration had already granted 111 Obamacare waivers to special US companies… And, they hid this information from the American public. It took 6 clicks to find out this information on the government’s health care website."

SIX CLICKS!  It took Jim Hoft six clicks to find this information online.  Yes indeed, the Government totally hid this information!  At least from Jim Hoft, who is more used to NO CLICKS AT ALL as his standard methodology for verifying the garbage he publishes.  I guess it is a little too much to expect for Jim to spend oh, what would you say, two minutes to see whether his posts are true or false.

And in Today's Story Most Likely to Be Total Crap:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  Shock Admission: “Gaddafi Is Jewish"

Don't put any money on that turning out to be true. Really.  Trust Green Eagle on this one.

Deborah J. Saunders, Town Hall:  "Last month, the website Politico reported that the Department of Justice dropped its representation of former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, his former deputy, Paul Wolfowitz, and other defendants in a lawsuit filed by convicted al-Qaida operative Jose Padilla and his mother.  In the meantime, defendants have had to live with a nightmare hovering over their heads. Now they face the added expense of legal bills to defend themselves for defending this country."

Actually, Deborah, they have to live with a nightmare for waging a war of aggression in which a million innocent people died, and routinely using torture to try to get their hapless captives to go along with their lies.  I think we've gotten past the point where anyone sane has to argue about whether that constitutes "defending this country;" in any event, this isn't it.

Fred Malek, Red State:  "Courage: The Scott Walker Story"

The courage to give billions in tax breaks to corporations, and then expect teachers and firemen and janitors to pay the tab.  Boy, that took real courage, Scott.  Someone should give you a medal for it.  Not a purple heart- we know that's for Democrats to give to themselves.  How about a black heart?  That sounds appropriate to me.

Erick Erickson, Red State:  "Blame the Democrats for High Gas Prices"

Well, you've blamed them for everything else.  Why stop now, Erick?

Erick Erickson, Red State:  "I hope the left will be accurate in its criticism"

Oh God, does hypocrisy have no bounds at all?

Bob Owens, Confederate Yankee:  "Democrat Hate Group Lawyer Called Obama "The Beast Spoken of In the Revelation."

Doesn't something about this story seem a little strange to you? Usually it's people on the other side of the political spectrum (you know who I  mean) who use this sort of language, not "Democrat hate group"  Think Progress.  Well, if you thought Bob got this story slightly "confused," you were right.  The quote is actually from the daughter of Fred Phelps, of the Gay hating Westboro Baptist Church.  Think Progress referred to it in an article filled with contempt for such people.  But that was enough for Bob to hang a big lie on.  No surprise there, I guess.

Newsmax:  "Bachmann: Obamacare a 'crime against democracy'"

Grow up already, Michelle.  Really.  You're so boring.

Ed Lasky, American Thinker:  "Obama's commitment to fight anti-Semitism questioned"

By you.  But then, you question Obama's commitment to do anything decent.  And while I'm on the subject, I am getting really tired of seeing Jews exploited by a political and religious faction with an unremitting history of anti-Semitism.  You don't give a damn about the Jews, except as pawns in your attempts to destroy Obama.  Crawl back under your rocks and shut up.

Steve McCann, American Thinker:  "The Only Way Out for the American Economy"

Wait, wait, you won't believe it:  The answer is more giveaways to the oil companies!  It's all so obvious when you think about it.

Wouldn't you love to see who pays people like Steve to write this sort of thing?

Van Helsing, Right Wing News:  "Comrade Obama Back on the Golf Course...If only Comrade Obama were dismantling our country single-handedly, America would be saved by his frivolity and laziness: Well, the mercury has crept back up above 60 degrees here in Washington, and so it’s time once again for President Obama to head out to the golf course. "

And who knew that Commies are so into golf?  No wonder the John Birchers used to think Eisenhower was a Communist.

Warner Todd Huston, Right Wing News:  "For Crying Out Loud: Taxpayers Forced To Pay for Union Workers' Coffee"

The shame.  So that's why we're trillions in the red.  Have you ever seen how much coffee those teamsters can guzzle down?

Robert Stacy McCain, The American Spectator:  "Support Your Local Police?  Ohio's fight over public-sector unions presents a conservative dilemma."

A real conservative dilemma:  They want their police protection, but they're damned if they are going to pay taxes for the police.  But if it comes down to the police or another tax cut, we know what they will choose.  Jackasses.

How dare Obama go onto a golf course as something other than a caddy.

At least Bush had a moral approach to golf:

I can't thank you enough for having the courage and stamina to wade through the muck and vomitous mire that passes as conservative thought on those particular blogs.

I've tried, and I've miserably failed to do it. Thank you for keeping us informed of their lying.

The brain of a parrot is just not as sensitive to this sort of outrage as human brains. Other than causing an almost irresistable desire to bite the closest person, right wing garbage has no effect on Green Eagle at all.

But thanks for the encouragement.
