Juan Williams Strikes Again
I like taking pot shots at Juan Williams, who I have always regarded as nothing but a right wing shill using his race and his name to disguise himself as a liberal. If anyone still has any doubt about this, consider his latest statement"
In the first place, what Steve Israel is saying is not that at all. What he is saying is that the Republican party is systematically trying to shut out of the public discourse any voice that isn't bought and paid for by their rich backers. And incidentally, that happens to be absolutely true.
But Juan's deliberate mischaracterisation of Israel's remarks pales compared to the nauseating hypocrisy of this man, who gladly took a job at Fox News, pretending that he gives a damn about a network controlled by a political party. Juan Williams is a sellout to forces that are destroying this country, and this remark confirms that he is just thrilled to get $2 million a year to do their dirty work.
"Rep. Steve Israel (D- N.Y.) chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee sent out a fundraising letter with the following argument for maintaining public funding of NPR:
“They [Republicans] know NPR plays a vital role in providing quality news programming — from rural radio stations to in-depth coverage of foreign affairs. If the Republicans had their way, we’d only be left with the likes of Glenn Beck, Limbaugh and Sarah Palin to dominate the airwaves.”
With that statement, Congressman Israel made the case better than any Republican critic that NPR is radio by and for liberal Democrats. He is openly asking liberal Democrats to give money to liberal Democrats in Congress so they can funnel federal dollars into news radio programs designed to counter and defeat conservative Republican voices."

Last Friday Google took down my blog without notice.
Talk about a Kafkaesque experience. No warning, no explanation, no accusation even. I guess a lot of blogger world goes down because of misidentification as spammers. They also have a very Kafkaesque system of hoops and loops to jump through for a review.
I get a sick sense of foreshadowing from this that all politically incorrect blogs and information sources may meet the same fate when net neutrality is lost and corporatist government clamps down.
I'll take my davedubya.com elsewhere; Wordpress looks pretty good in comparison. I'm glad I saved all my posts and links.
I'm stunned by what happened to your blog. Unless this is some sort of accident, it is atrocious.
I've always liked what you have to say, and if there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.
