Covfefe- The Truth Revealed

Of course it takes Green Eagle to explain this to the whole world.  The word is not "covfefe," but "covpepe."
It is a contraction of "covert pepe."  Trump is ordering his millions of jackbooted militia members, such as these battle hardened veterans:
to remain under cover, because the time has not quite come to take direct action:

That will be coming soon, don't you worry.

Of course! The same Trumpanzee legions that used to overthrow the government every month at Larry Klayman's behest.

If Trump finally orders them into action and they seize another bird sanctuary visitor kiosk, they better remember to bring their Cheetos and socks. They'd be invincible.

Thank you for your work. I was worried about you after you hadn't posted for a few days.

I read the news today, oh boy. Sgt. Pepper was released fifty years ago today. It makes me feel old.

Anyway, here's some of the Sgt. Pepper songs.

*Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
*With a Little Help From My Friends
*Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
*Getting Better
*Fixing a Hole
*She's Leaving Home
*Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite
*Within You Without You
*When I'm Sixty-Four
*Lovely Rita
*Good Morning Good Morning
*Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)
*A Day in the Life

And, as a bonus, two songs recorded for the album, but released as singles instead.
*Strawberry Fields
*Penny Lane

Enjoy!

I thought COVFEFE was the sound a KWYBIJO makes when it's suffering from sleep deprivation at 3 am.

I just want to add, on a more serious note, that there is something weird about this. I won't bother you with my reasoning, but I suspect that Trump suffered a transient eschemic incident, i.e. a minor stroke, while he was writing this tweet. I think he had really convinced himself that he had put the whole Russia thing behind himself with his glorious foreign trip, and when he got back and found that it was still going full blast, the stress got too great, and something popped.

Technically, Sgt. Pepper was released on June 1, but I wonder if the posts are labeled by Pacific Time (something posted at 7 a.m. in England would show up at 11 p.m. the previous night, for example.)

Green Eagle,

Do you have a favorite song among that group? I listened to all fifteen, and there wasn't a single good one in that bunch.
Green Eagle said…
Well, Hugh, we'll just assume that you are trying to be deliberately nasty, suggesting that there is not a single good song on the Sergeant Pepper album. The alternative, I guess is that you are a musical idiot.

I am not a tremendous Beatles fan myself, preferring the likes of Buddy Guy or Howling Wolf, but even I am not brain dead enough to be unable to find a good song in this list.

"even I am not brain dead enough to be unable to find a good song in this list."

Bill Cosby's yelling was bad enough, but Rafo Raez' singing was flat-out terrible. It was so bad I couldn't make it to Lucy.

Which one was the good one?

In case this didn't get through earlier.

What does Soghoman's list have to do with the Beatles? All I got were Cosby aand some no-names.

Vanessa, let me explain a little history here. I know who wrote that comment, and his name is not Soghoman. At times he writes extremely offensive posts, which I ignore, but I like to keep my comment section open to as much as possible, so when he writes something that isn't patently vicious, I let it go through. He has sent me some really awful musical selections in the past, but sometimes I listen to them and get a laugh out of his conviction that he is annoying me. Well, I posted his comment this time, but I didn't listen to a single one of the links. Too bad- I couldn't be bothered to waste my time. I'm sorry if it wasted anyone else's time.
