And Now For Something Else Depressing

I want to recommend that you spend a few of your precious waking moments taking a look at the comments section of this article on Yahoo:  "Four Jews Killed in Paris To Be Buried in Israel Tuesday."

I just don't have the heart to reproduce any of it here, but this seemingly unexceptional piece of news produced an absolutely frightening outpouring of hatred toward Jews.  And this is on a mainstream website, not the Vanguard News Service or Stormfront.

You know that every single one of these subhumans will deny to their dying breath that they are haters- they are just telling the truth.  In this regard, of course, they are exactly of a piece with the millions of race baiting jerks in this country who will scream in outrage if you call them racists, but who feel free to engage in open hatred and threats toward Black Americans.

I need hardly point out that the vast majority of these comments come from right here in the good old U.S. of A.  This country is in for some really ugly times before this is straightened out.

Yahoo News may be a "mainstream site" as far as the actual articles go, but the comment section is completely owned by the Stormfront set and has been that way for years. I don't how it happened and why specifically to Yahoo out of all the news aggregator sites out there, but it is what it is.

Well, I can hardly disagree with you, AWJ. If you've read my blog for very long, you know that a subject that I have returned to over and over again is the minuscule support for hard right or tea party ideas that can actually be documented. Yet they have become experts at creating the appearance that they represent a huge number of people. Yahoo comments are certainly an example of that, where even moderately liberal posts can generate thousands of hate filled, vituperative responses, apparently (from what I can tell) generated by a small handful of full-time liars, who, ironically, are mostly living off of government aid of one kind or another.
