Another Victory for Republican Economic Policy

Republican control of government accomplishes their purpose:

"N.J. faces 'tough choices' after $800 million revenue shortfall in April ...The state's budget gap in New Jersey is widening, and lawmakers are trying to figure out what to do about it.

April's income tax revenues from the state's wealthiest residents are far less than expected, and the overall shortfall for the current fiscal year is $800 million below the Christie administration's projections.

Lawmakers will have to make some tough choices, said state Sen. Tony Bucco, the ranking Republican on the Senate Budget Committee."

Hmm...The rich people aren't paying their share, thanks to Republican government.  What a huge surprise!  Well, what do you think they will do to make up the difference, raise tax rates on the rich?

"Lawmakers said they don't expect the state to reduce its payment into the pension system to help make up for the revenue shortfall.

But Gov. Chris Christie said Tuesday that nothing is off the table to fund ways of balancing the state budget..."
Make the State workers pay!  and then go to work on other non-rich people!  Republicanism at work!

Republicans are engaged in a massive scheme of Pension Theft, targeting teachers, state employees, Postal Workers, but are getting away with it by screeching about President Obama, Putin, Benghazi, the IRS, Obamacare, Cliven Bundy, etc...

Sadly, their campaign tactics of oppression, intolerance and adulation of the rich may pay off as their right-wing drones dutifully vote themselves (and the rest of US) into corporate bondage and wage slavery

Maybe they are trying to protect the citizens who are the ones who actually pay gov't workers pensions while having to pay for their own.
The rich can never cover all those pensions especially since the biggest pool to get it from is the average middle class.

Oh fuck off Anonymous.

It's theft. People worked their whole lives for this. Lived on the promise that if they lived long enough they might be able to retire in something other than utter grinding poverty.

"protect the citizens"??
How stupid can you be? They don't give a shit about anyone but themselves. And that includes you.

While you bending over to take it up the ass like the good little wealth worshipping dupe, you are so beneath their notice they wouldn't stop on their way to the golf course to piss on you if you were on fire.

The middle class is imploding. The wealth divide is heading into feudal extremes of polarity. There won't be a middle class if these people have their way.

Stop worshipping the rich like they were some superior class of angel come to Earth to show us mere mortals The Way. Stop apologizing for them and plaintively interpreting their will.

"Maybe they are trying to..."

Stop grovelling! They're screwing everyone.

What Magpie said.

Anonymous, are you so stupid and ignorant as to not comprehend that people worked all their lives for those pension benefits, which were part of their compensation, and now that retired workers completed their end of the deal, rich people are trying to cheat them out of what they were supposed to get in return?
Clearly their tool to fix this is a massive tax cut for corporations, and the top 5%, and ease up the laws over landlords, insurance, banks, product safety, pollution.
