Flip Flopper?

I want to correct a false impression left when people refer to Mitt Romney as a "flip-flopper."

This term implies that someone is a person of weak convictions who changes his beliefs whenever it is convenient.

Sorry, folks, Mitt Romney doesn't have any beliefs.  He doesn't flip-flop.  He tells whatever lie he thinks will serve his purpose at the time.  None of it represents a shred of reflection or conviction.  None of it represents anything more than what he thinks will get himself what he wants.

Like the Mitt Romney who will destroy companies and their employees to make himself rich, he doesn't give a damn what damage he does to others as long as he enriches himself; and as a politician he cares no more for truth and falsity than he cares about other people's jobs.

Like I said, that's not a flip-flopper, it's a liar.

Yep. It's pointless to argue whether Romney is a closet moderate or, as he now says, he merely governed as a moderate in Massachusetts due to the influence of an overwhelmingly-Democratic legislature. Right now he'll say whatever it takes to get elected, and if elected he'd act in response to whatever political forces were able to influence him. To see what a Romney Presidency would look like, you only have to look at the sum total of the right wing of today, because that's what he'd be pandering to.

Yeah that's almost the sum of it.

Vote for Romney, he's shared your position on every issue at least once.

So GE forced car dealerships to close and they went through bankruptcy after all, and the Unions were paid off in the process...with taxpayer money.
So it's for Government to use public money but not OK for a company to use their own.
Government knows best doesn't it?

Anonymous,

Green Eagle never closed a car dealership in his life. Parrots don't really do that sort of thing. Okay, maybe Mitt Romney's parrot drove a couple of companies into bankruptcy, but not Green Eagle.

As usual, Anonymous, you're out in right field somewhere. It was Chrysler that closed dealerships, and given Chrysler's shape, it's a wonder that Obama was able to save it at all. And as for GM, the workers took heavy cuts as part of the rescue plan. And now, GM announces a billion dollars in profit, and promises of more in the future. Only a Republican could see that as a failure.
How can it be failure, Romney now claims the bailout of auto industry followed his general suggestions. I can't tell if thats a flip or a flop, but thats not a problem for me, but for the GOP who one day has to say it was a bad idea and the next that it was Ronmeny's. I puked on a tilt-a-whirl once, and it jerked me around less than the Rummie ride is doing to the GOP faithful.
