Replacement for Steele?

When, as it now seems inevitable, the Republican party finishes tearing their new leader, Mr. Steele, to shreds, they are going to need a new face to put in front of their party. Will it be another black one?

Already circling over Steeles not-yet-corpse is our old friend, Ken Blackwell, who has the undeniable advantage of not only being black, but of having Black in his name. This could mark a new high for Republican tokenism.

However, I have a much better suggestion for them: Alan Keyes. Here, they have a character who is not only undisputably black, but already has a five year head start in perfecting his vilification of Barack Obama. On top of that, no one is going to out-conservative Alan Keyes.

Republicans, in the spirit of Karl Rove, who is always so kindly giving advice to the Democrats about what is in their best interest, I offer you this truly inspired choice.
