Special Green Eagle Hurricane Report

Green Eagle has spent most of the morning cooking, and watching the hurricane coverage from Corpus Christi on the TV.

In the now well established American tradition of caring about nothing but yourself, Green Eagle is pleased to report that no hurricane damage is expected at Corpus Christi College, where he was a graduate student long ago.
Although, in all fairness, Green Eagle must admit that no category III hurricane is known to have hit Cambridge at least since the founding of Corpus Christi College, in 1352.

I don't know where all of the pictures of the horrible weather now on TV are coming from.  Must be from the bad side of town.

Thanks for lightening the mood!!! What's for dinner? I hope it's something manly, so the Anonymouses don't freak out at you.

On the other hand Corpus Christi owes its existence to the Black Death, instead of which I'd much rather have a hurricane.
Or a cyclone, as we call them here.

Hoping the good people of Texas pull through this okay but that every white nationalist household and trailer gets a mild draft.

Peace.

Well, you are absolutely right about that. Corpus was founded to produce priests to pray that the black death never came again. Too bad nobody ever thought of having some priests to pray that Hitler didn't come back again.

"some priests to pray that Hitler didn't come back again".

Prayer doesn't work, but education does, better than anything, so you were on the right track, GE.

Green Eagle,

I'm sorry your favorite team was eliminated by CSKA Moscow (once known as the Red Army's team) in the Champions League. It's unfair that people keep smearing you as a supporter of communist dictatorships.
Green Eagle said…
Huh? I've heard Cambridge called a lot of things, but never a Communist dictatorship.

I think he's referring to what you've said about Stalin.

Considering who CSKA knocked out of the Champions League, he's also being nasty.
Green Eagle said…
What, I said that Stalin led the country that did by far the most to win World War II? Do you or he have a single criticism of that remark? Because it is obviously true. Now, as for him being nasty, maybe, just not particularly successfully. If he wants to disagree with what I said about Stalin, let him do it in a comment on the post where I said it. I'm not interested in being dragged in to endless repetitions of ignorant claims about World War II.
