But Don't You Dare Call It Terrorism
I mean, they are just crazy people, right?
So the latest senseless, vicious multiple murder took place yesterday in Las Vegas, where two unbelievable jerks murdered a couple of police officers and another person before having their dreams of revolution come to a quick end and committing suicide. Just another couple of crazies, huh?
And then, there's this piece of information:
The Gadsden Flag, beloved of Teabaggers, has been adopted by right wingers not, as the rest of us would think, because it's a symbol of the Revolutionary war, but as they all know, because of this:
Yes, this is the first flag of the Southern secessionists, raised over Savannah Georgia in 1860.
And here is a little more of what we know about them:
Yes, just a couple of crazy people. Nothing more to learn here. This has nothing to do with right wing politicians spending decades telling people that the way to deal with your frustrations is with a gun; that our government is illegitimate anyway (particularly since we elected a black guy) and that it is perfectly acceptable to kill government employees because they are no different from Nazis anyway.
This is the monster that the Republicans have awakened. It must be put down or it will destroy us all, but there is little likelihood that it will be put down, as long as the consensus of those who have voices in our country is that both sides are the same, and people who do things like this are just crazy, so it's not the fault of the demagogues who egg them on.

"a law enforcement official close to the investigation told the Review-Journal that the suspects were married, in their 20s, and new to the area. The paper reported that investigators found swastika symbols during their search of the apartment."
And then, there's this piece of information:
"The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the shooters covered the dead officers with the Revolutionary War-era Gadsden flag, which depicts a coiled snake and the words “Don’t Tread On Me.”

"Residents at an apartment complex where it appeared the two lived together said they had a reputation for spouting racist, anti-government views, bragging about their gun collection and boasting that they’d spent time at Cliven Bundy’s ranch during a recent standoff there between armed militia members and federal government agents..."They were handing out white-power propaganda and were talking about doing the next Columbine," Moore said."
