Wingnut Wrapup

They're back.  As usual, with their load of malicious nonsense:

Guy Benson, Town Hall:  "Study: Average Individual Market Premiums Soar 49 Percent Under Obamacare"

This is a "study" by the Manhattan Institute:

"The Manhattan Institute (MI) is a right-wing 501(c)(3) non-profit think tank founded in 1978 by William J. Casey, who later became President Ronald Reagan's CIA director.

"The Manhattan Institute concerns itself with such things as 'welfare reform' (dismantling social programs), 'faith-based initiatives' (blurring the distinction between church and state), and 'education reform' (destroying public education)," Kurt Nimmo wrote October 10, 2002, in CounterPunch."

Major funders:  (I know this is going to surprise you) the Koch brothers.  Why, they would never lie about Obamacare, right?

Katie Pavlich, Town Hall:  "Hillary Clinton's Legacy: Defending Rapists and Sexual Predators "

Yup, that's her legacy.  Not serving as first lady for eight years of unprecedented (until the Obamas) personal abuse, not years as a United States Senator and a highly successful (i.e. she didn't start any three trillion dollar wars) Secretary of State.  No, she is a defender of rapists.  That's what she will be remembered for.

If the right has their way.

Ann Coulter:  "the Obama administration tortures the Benghazi raid suspect into a false confession that a YouTube video made him attack our embassy"

Right.  I mean the last two years of Conservative smears couldn't possibly be wrong, so Obama must have tortured this guy into saying what he did.  Not a shred of evidence to support this lie, but since when did that stop wingnuts?

Here's something else Ann had to say in this article:

"Soon after he became president, Obama pulled every last troop out of Iraq, despite the fact that the war was over and we had won."

Hey, I thought that was what you did when you won a war- bring the troops home.  I guess not.

Claire Healy, Town Hall:  "Family Research Council's Gagnon: "Homosexual Unions Are Worst Sexual Sin"

Worse than violently raping a child, I guess.  Claire points out that:

"Gagnon sought to counter popular criticisms against scriptural backing that condemns homosexual activity. Such claims include that Jesus supposedly did not make any comments about homosexual activity"

I won't bore you with the twisted reasoning Gagnon (whoever the hell that is- I thought it was the guy Link had to fight) used to "counter" something which is unquestionably true.  Jesus said nothing about gay people, but he did, because...oh, why bother.  Because he did.  Get it now?

Daniel Doherty, Town Hall:  "Fox News Reporter Asks: Say, Why Did it Take Such a Long Time to Get That Benghazi Terrorist?"

Yeah, considering how quickly Bush and Cheney got Osama Bin...oh, wait a minute.  Never mind.

Streiff, Red State:  "Obama decides Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki has to go...The mind simply boggles at the galactic level of boneheaded incompetence of this administration."

Boneheaded Incompetence, as opposed to the sensible, adult Republican option in this circumstance, presented by their leading foreign policy expert, John McCain:

"McCain: Maliki must go to stabilize Iraq"

Completely different, you see.

Bridget Johnson, PJ Media:  "Capture of Suspect Opens Whole New Benghazi Controversy"

Of course it does.

Rev. Austin Miles, Renew America:  "Obama arresting citizens who criticize him!"

The horror!  Austin starts out with a whole bunch of ranting like this:

"While marching America into Communism, Obama, right from the beginning, was not subtle. He told Joe The Plumber that he intends to "Redistribute the Wealth," a page right out of Karl Marx. After hijacking The White House, he immediately appointed CZARS, an office known only in the former Communist Soviet Union.

(Bolding in the original)  And then Austin moves on to the only example he can find of this arresting of Obama critics, one Brendan Raub.  Raub, it turns out, was detained for psychiatric evaluation, after sending a series of violent, anti-government e-mails.  This was done by the State of Virginia, not the Federal Government.  After this evaluation, he was released without charges.  However, this claim about Obama arresting his opponents will live forever in the wingnut world.

And by the way, Austin, the Czars were in Russia before the Communists.  The Communists did away with the Czars.  Really. Check it out, dude.

Alan Caruba, Renew America:  "Obama talks climate change while Iraq implodes"

Criticism from right wingers, whose limited intellects make it impossible to work on more than one thing at a time.

Wes Vernon, Renew America:  "The Iranian angle in Benghazi (yes, there is one)"

Of course there is.  All Muslims are the same.  Here's a sentence from the article:

"Speaking at a Washington panel discussion on the Benghazi scandal, Ken Timmerman cited multiple confidential sources for his information."

For those who left their English-Wingnut dictionary at home today, the phrase " multiple confidential sources" can be roughly translated as "I just made that up this minute."

And now for our daily dose of "It's All Obama's Fault."

The Astute Bloggers:  "KHATALA - THE MAN WHO LED THE ATTACK WHICH KILLED AMBASSADOR STEVENS - WAS FREED BY OBAMA"

Well, actually, this guy had been imprisoned by Moammar Khadaffi, and was freed by Libyans after they overthrew Khadaffi, in a revolution with minimal American support.  But, of course, it's all Obama's fault.  Isn't it always?

Matthew Boyle, Breitbart.com:  "Cochran and McDaniel Battle over Mississippi's Economic Future"

You mean whether it will be really bad or totally disastrous?  That's about your only choice in Mississippi.

Michelle Malkin, Town Hall:  "Laughable Lies of Liberal Republicans"

Michelle, the only laughable lie here is that there are any liberal Republicans.

And now, the great specimen of false equivalence for today:

Michael Barone, Town Hall:  " Michael Barone: Are the Two Political Parties About to Crack Up?"

Well, Michael, one of them is, anyway.  Guess which one.  And let's just go out on this one:

Bryan Preston, PJ Media:  "ISIS Reportedly Captured Saddam’s Chemical Weapons Stockpiles"

You've got to laugh.  Really.  I mean, how much lying has it taken over the years to get us to the point where some right wing idiot could write this?  And of course, this story is on the move- Dim Jim Hoft is featuring it, and soon it will be everywhere in wingnut world, despite being one of the most patently false lies that Republicans have ever told.

“Obama talks climate change while Iraq implodes"

Even if that WAS an accurate representation (it’s not of course) of issues being in ranked in zero sum game order of devastating human impacts... Obama would be prioritizing legitimately, actually.
