Wingnut Wrapup

I haven't been posting much lately.  Partly it's because we've been really busy at work, but mainly it is because so much of what the Republicans are saying these days is so detached from reality, that I don't think there is a chance that they really believe it all.  I think it is just a very noxious fog spread to force sane people to spend their time rebutting things like their anti-global warming tirades, the Hillary brain damage nonsense, and on and on, so we cannot deal with the real issues in this country.  Right now, I just don't have the patience to spend a lot of time disproving things that their perpetrators don't even believe for a second.  Anyway, hopefully we can still get a laugh from these fools, so here's a taste of where the right wing is today:

Moe Lane, Red State:  "Karl Rove forces Bill Clinton to provide relevant health information about Hillary Clinton...So, this is why Karl Rove rather loudly speculated about brain damage...So, point awarded to Karl Rove.  Say what you like about him, but he pretty much anticipated how the Left was going to react to his accusation, and then used it to get the story out there.  I believe that this is where one laments “If only Rove would use his powers for good…”

Oh right.  Rove just wanted to get the truth out there.  Like the truth that McCain fathered an illegitimate black baby, or that Ann Richards was an out of control Lesbian, or...I could go on and on here as you well know.  The truth, in case Moe is interested (he's not) is that Rove is the most despicable political hatchet man since Joseph Goebbels.

Streiff, Red State:  "Addled Harry Reid advocates amending the Constitution to restrict free speech...Under ordinary circumstances, one would think Harry Reid was simply playing to the under 90 IQ voters who make up the Democrat base. But with more and more people openly questioning his lucidity, one never knows. Unsatisfied with the Supreme Court’s rulings on political speech, and in the throes of a Koch brothers monomania, Reid has signed onto a proposal to amend the Constitution to allow Congress to regulate who can say what during public debates...is fellow traveler in this jihad to silence Americans is, of course, Chuck Schumer...On the other hand, Schumer is in favor of dead and imaginary voters influencing actual elections, hence his opposition to Voter ID."

He is not trying to regulate what we say in political debates, he is trying to regulate what we spend.  As if Streiff can't tell the difference.  And I love the phrase "fellow traveler in this jihad," economically accusing Reid of being both a Communist and a Muslim in one phrase.

Andrew C. McCarthy, PJ Media:  "In Nigeria, Obama’s Pro-Islamist Policies Have Negative Practical Results...The administration’s reluctance to crack down on Boko Haram owes to its sympathies for the Islamist case against the Nigerian government."

And where did you learn that, Andrew?  In the gutter, when you were drinking the sewage down there?   I've really never heard anyone make " the Islamist case against the Nigerian government," and neither have you.

Bryan Preston, PJ Media:  "Is Hillary Clinton the World’s Biggest Blunderer?  A career littered with mind-blowing errors.   Not only does Hillary Clinton have horrible taste in fashion (pantsuits…really?) She’s a lousy, blundering oaf when it comes to policy.   Islamist groups across the world have been angling for a way to get the blind sheikh, the Santa-hatted mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center terrorist attack, released from prison in the United States. In fact, getting him released motivated the attacks on September 11, 2012, including the one in Benghazi, Libya, that Hillary Clinton later blamed on a YouTube movie."

The blind sheikh?  Well, that's a new one on me.  And since his incarceration seems to have preceded the creation of Al Qaeda, it would pretty well wreck one of your favorite lies about Obama, wouldn't it?  And by the way, what was the last time that anyone heard a male politician's clothing choices described as a mind-blowing error?  So, we're left with a preposterous charge about someone Bill Clinton put in prison for terrorism, who is allegedly now their BFF, as the only "proof" that she is a "lousy, blustering oaf."  You want blustering oaf, how about this:

And how about an explanation of why Operation American Spring got 130 people instead of 30 million?

"BEWARE. This is a staged event. “Operation American Spring” is a trap to set-up well-meaning “patriots” for acts of state-sponsored terror so that Obama’s political opposition can be vilified and a civil war can commence. Operation American Spring - is a CIA name that is synonymous with Islamic Terrorism. Anonymous (CIA) has also come out with warnings of cyber attack this weekend in support.

Only 1 thing going to stop them, and that is an all out civil war in this country, Only then will this tyrants leave. People are already looking for the fire that will light the fuse, NV could have been one but the feds backed down because they knew this is what they were looking for. It will not be long until something happens then we will see who is friend and who is foe. I for one am tired of being pushed around by and Out Of Control Government. I will buy what I want and will not be forced into buying healthcare or anything else they force on me.

The White House is the exterminator of humain. America is God, you the peoples are the servant. Support are troops to rape and destroy others country. You will all be punish for not worship the white house, obey or burn alive."

Hmmm.  Interesting.

Talking Points Memo:  "Obama Eyes Castro For Cabinet Spot"

WHAT?????  Obama IS a Communist!

Whoops.  Wrong Castro.  Sorry.

And now a little bit more about Operation American Spring.  I mean, why not?

Rixk Moran, American Thinker:  "Certainly, it's a worthy goal to attempt to force politicians to follow constitutional principles in making law. But for the overwhelming majority of Americans, it's a huge sacrifice for them to leave work and family for a weekend trip to DC. "

Oh, that's why Obama is still President.  It was a huge sacrifice to show up for the revolution.  Okay then.

"One assumes that 10 million people in Washington would be very intimidating, but did organizers really expect all of these politicians to resign peacefully?"

Maybe.  Who cares?

Engel's Friend, Washington Times:  "THAT'S IT; it failed again. I'm going into exile. I'm leaving the country soon."

Bye.  Don't forget the sun tan lotion before you hit the beach in Somalia.

Leah Barkoukis, Town Hall:  "Say, There Are Quite a Few Problems with Piketty’s Inequality Data"

In making his case, Piketty used data assembled by himself and his associates over the last couple of decades- by far the most complete collection of world financial data ever.  Leah, like most people paid to crank out right wing lies, just assumes that her intended audience is never going to read one word of Piketty's long and relatively challenging book, so she can just make up whatever she wants about what is in it.  Try reading it yourself, and discover why Paul Krugman says it is the most important economics book in decades.  And believe me, it's not because Piketty parrots right wing talking points like Leah and her associates.

Daniel Doherty, Town Hall:  "It Begins: Grimes, Nunn Say Shinseki Must Go"

I really don't give a damn what this jackass has to say, but I did want to ask one question.  Why do so many articles on conservative blogs begin with the words "it begins?"  What begins?  Happy hour?  the Major League baseball season?  The start of muskrat hunting season?  What begins, already?  Inquiring minds want to know.

Streiff, Red State:  "The left often calls conservatives “anti-science.” This is simply an demonstration of the psychological phenomenon of transference when a person attributes their own feelings to another"

Perhaps we have here the first sighting of a previously unrecognized phenomenon:  transference transference.  The creativity of the Conservative mind knows no bounds.  Particularly those bounds involving a shred of rationality.

Streiff, Red State:  "Government negligence ... behind the GM recall"

It's Obama's fault!  He personally designed those defective parts. Or maybe because he saved GM from Bankruptcy, he is forever responsible for whatever they do, as it would have been so much more sensible to just destroy several hundred thousand American jobs the way Republicans wanted to do.

Daniel Horowitz, Red State:  "Steve King Takes on Senate Girly Men"

Rational analysis at its finest.  The very sort of thinking that is going to solve our nation's problems.

Rodrigo Sermeno, PJ Media:  "GOP Looks Forward with New Agenda for Poor and Middle Class"

Wonderful!  And let's see...what are Rodrigo's suggestions for helping the poor and middle class?  Less regulation on businesses, cutting taxes, damaging unions, doing away with the requirement to pay overtime if people are forced to work six or seven days a week,  more money taken from public schools for private charter schools... man, why does this list sound so familiar?

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "“Virgin” Leaves Chilling Video to “Blonde Sluts” Before His Deadly Shooting Rampage at UCSB...So, are we looking at another leftist shooter?"

Not a shred of evidence, of course.  But why not get the thought out there, before the chance is gone?

As is my patience with the wingnuts today.  Bye.
