Wingnut Wrapup

Today's Wingnut Wrapup is respectfully dedicated to a man who shows the ability to encapsulate all of the fear that plagues the right in one sentence:

Stanley Zir, Renew America:  "In Obama coup I wrote "If we lose this election, this is what Obama has in store for us: "The Greater Good." Take heed"

The greater good!  God help us.  If the founding fathers thought the government was going to be used to promote the greater good, they would have just stayed in bed!

Barbara Simpson, World Net Daily:  "Anti-gunners: Please shut up!"

In fact, everyone with a brain, shut up!  Then people like Barbara will have so much easier a time getting their way.

World Net Daily:  "Why Chuck Norris is never depressed..."

He's probably so hopped up on steroids that he can't even tell which century he's living in.

Town Hall:  "Obama ‘Has Put a Pistol to the Head of the Middle Class’

Finally, a conservative with a reason for gun control.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Rep. Raul Labrador: “Democrats Are Like Bank Robbers” Who Want to Raise Taxes on Everyone"

Funny, but I never heard a bank robber call for higher taxes.  Maybe I just lead a very sheltered life.

Leah Barkoukis, Town Hall:  "Hollywood Hypocrites: Video Contrasts Celebs Demanding a Gun Control Plan with Gun Violence Scenes from their Films"

Listen, Leah, there's this thing called reality, and then there are movies, where no one is actually killed.  On second thought, forget it.  The whole concept of reality is beyond your grasp.

Jeff Jacoby, Town Hall:  "People Are Truly Good at Heart? Sadly, No"

Not the ones you hang out with, Jeff.

Bryan Preston, PJ Media:  "Gov. Chris Christie Throws Boehner Under the Bus, Backs Over Him Repeatedly"

And with Chris Christie in the driver's seat, that's got to hurt.

Washington Post Editorial Board:  "Sadly, the economic pain caused by Mr. Chavez could, after his death, help create a political movement that will revere his memory. Forty years after the death of Juan Peron, Peronism still haunts and holds back Argentina. If Venezuela is to escape a similar curse, Mr. Chavez’s successors will have to balance economic stabilization against the need to build a political system where democracy, and not autocratic populism, can thrive."

"Autocratic populism..."  That's a new one on me.  I'm guessing that "democracy" is when a foreign country elects a leader who does what the United States wants, while "autocratic populism" is when they elect a leader who does what is best for them.

And way to go, Washington Post- making Wingnut Wrapup, and it's not even a column by Jennifer Rubin.

Guy Benson, Town Hall:  "Report: Obamacare Triggering Double Digit Premium Increases...Health insurance companies across the country are seeking and winning double-digit increases in premiums for some customers...In California, Aetna is proposing rate increases of as much as 22 percent, Anthem Blue Cross 26 percent and Blue Shield of California 20 percent for some of those policy holders..."

By "triggering," of course, Guy must mean "insurance companies using Obamacare as just one more excuse to rob billions more dollars from the insured, so they can go on giving vast "salaries" to their CEO's."  Well, there is a simple answer to all of this- a single payer system that will drive all of these damned ghouls out of business once and for all.  In the end, the elimination of private health insurance is going to be a necessary component of any real scheme to limit health care costs.  Its us versus them, buddy, and you'd better be with us, if you don't want to die in the street waiting to have your health care authorized by some jerk that would rather have you dead if it will save money for the company.

Repair Man Jack, Red State:  "What Did Congress Do About Hurricane Sandy? Rape it for What It’s Worth!"

Hey, Jack, it's not rape unless Sandy fought back.  And anyway, it doesn't count, because hurricanes can't get pregnant from being raped by Congress.  Oh well, let's look on the bright side- at least here's a wingnut who is concerned about rape.

Howard Nemerov, PJ Media:  "New ‘Less Lethal’ Shotgun Round Geared Towards School Defense"

Oh great, that will solve the problem.  Now, if we could just get the killers to use them...

And now, scandals that are going nowhere, edition 11,000 or so:

Andrea Shea King, World Net Daily:  "White House photo looks like lies?  Exclusive: Andrea Shea King covers investigation into possible Benghazi baloney"

Andrea's journalistic scoop revolves around this photo, taken the day of the Behghazi attacks

Andrea says:

"As is now the norm, the “new media” are doing the work the “traditional” media is not: analyzing the photo against published facts, comparing previous “official” statements, researching and noting inconsistencies...Inconsistencies like this one, which asks, “If the attack began at 3:30 p.m. (D.C. time), 9:30 p.m. (Benghazi) – then what was happening at 7:30 p.m. when this picture was taken? Obviously POTUS was not situationally aware. Was this the ‘first’ notification of the crisis? Yet it is a full four hours after the attack began.”

And she has a lot more to say along these lines.  It is truly a sign of wingnuts' desperation to find anything they can pin on Obama that they have to resort to nearly incomprehensible idiocy like this.

Roger L. Simon, PJ Media:  "Forget the economy: the irreparable damage from Obama is in his dealings abroad... the real permanent damage is being done elsewhere.  And when I say permanent damage, I mean it."

He sure does, even though he can't really come up with too much in the way of specifics.  Oh well, with the economy slowly recovering despite the Republicans' best efforts to destroy it, I guess they have to complain about something.  Anyway, the real reason I cited this article is one of the great wingnut lines of all time:

"Forget objective reality."

Believe it or not, that is Roger's claim- if you just forget objective reality you can believe what he has to say.  Here is one of the few times that I will link to this right wing garbage, because even after all of the crap that I find to put in this column, it is still hard for even me to believe that wingnuts can be so deranged.  Check it out if you don't believe me.

Gina Miller, Renew America:  "Wanted: ten thousand Hobby Lobbies...America needs ten thousand more. America needs thousands of businesses to resist this lawless administration in Washington and stand on the principles of freedom as Hobby Lobby has bravely done."

America needs ten thousand more employers so greedy that they won't treat their employees like human beings.  Well, don't you worry your little head about it, Gina.  There are ten thousand more.  That's why we have to pass laws to make these people act like something other than animals.

Astute Bloggers:  "DID HAGEL STEAL THE ELECTION FOR OBAMA, AND IS HIS NOMINATION AS SECDEF PAYOFF?"

Finally, the explanation for why Obama won!  It was all Chuck Hagel's doing.  Of course! Why didn't we think of that sooner?  And how did Hagel manage this?

"(Hagel) served as a Chairman and was CEO of American Information Systems Inc. (AIS), later known as Election Systems & Software, a computerized voting machine manufacturer..."

Of course, Hagel resigned from that position in 1995.  So I guess he put the fix in for Obama thirteen years before Obama ran for President, before Obama had ever held elected office, and when he was essentially unknown.   Maybe we should check where Hagel was in August, 1961.  He could be the person who put Obama's fake birth announcement in the Honolulu papers.

Ben Shapiro, Breitbart:  "The left’s goal is to shut down the political debate by decrying their opponents as victimizers. They label their opponents racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic, benighted, backwards bitter clingers. They liken them to Nazis, KKK members, terrorists. Then they cast them out like lepers from the political debate. Because who would bother debating a Nazi, or a KKK member, or a terrorist?"

Ben, you right wingers are " racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic, benighted, backwards bitter clingers."  You are like Nazis and KKK members, who were all right wingers, and terrorists, who are also largely conservative religious fanatics.  That's the truth, Ben.  I know you don't like it, but too bad.  And Ben, your day is over.  You may live on, getting paid by a host of rich right wing assholes to write things like this, but the number of people who believe any of your crap gets smaller every day.  The only way you can win now is by cheating and terror- like the Nazis and the KKK, whom you resemble more and more every day.  Cleared up about things now, are we?

Elizabeth Meineke, Town Hall:  "Think Al Qaeda Is Dead? Think Again"

And here's her proof- a picture of a guy with a beard:

Well, I guess that proves that, then, huh?

Larry Klayman, Renew America:  "Today, and as just one example among an ever-expanding array of disgraceful illegal acts by our judges on a daily basis, the refusal of courts to hear eligibility challenges concerning the status of Barack Hussein Obama as a "natural born citizen" reinforces the reality that we no longer have a functional legal system. Notwithstanding that the result is a black-Muslim, anti-white, anti-Semitic and anti-Christian "Manchurian candidate" fraudster socialist tyrant in the Oval Office — bent on tearing down and destroying the pillars of our formerly capitalist society"

The latest rant from a guy who has been bringing you phony scandals since Whitewater.  Man, times are tough for Conservatives when they can't come up with anything better than the birth certificate crap after all these years.

And, let's finish off with this exciting news:

World Net Daily EXCLUSIVE!  "Sarah Palin's brother pitches new political party"

As if things weren't bad enough already.

Can Sarah Palin's brother put a cohesive sentence together?

And, more importantly… can he see Russia from his house?

Though....

I can see the moon from my window.... Maybe that qualifies me to be head of NASA.

Magpie, just hope he can't see Australia from his house. You know what happens when a Palin can see something.
