Wingnut Wrapup- Summit Edition

Boy, I bet this photo comforts you about the state of the world.

Anyone with even a grain of sanity left knows that the Great Negotiator got his pants stolen by Kim Jong Un at the great Summit Of The Two Leaders.  So it's going to be tough for the winguts to find a way to spin this as a victory for Trump, but they are going to give it a hell of a try.  Here we go:

Katie Pavlich, Town Hall:  "Denuclearization: President Trump and Kim Jong Un End Historic Summit With Signing Ceremony"

Signing what?  Apparently Trump agreed to stab South Korea in the back by ending long standing joint military exercises, in return for nothing.  No sense mentioning that, however.

Streiff, Red State:  "The Trump-Kim Summit Was Not a Failure but It Did Disappoint"

Not a failure to Kim, perhaps, who got a major defense concession from Trump, and recognition on the world stage.  As for Trump, it is only a failure if the American press tells the truth about what happened.  Fat chance, huh?

"...now the real battle begins: that of competing narratives."

I.e. between the truth and the inevitable Republican propaganda line, portraying a humiliating collapse by Trump as a diplomatic masterstroke of nine dimensional chess.

"Having acknowledged that the U.S-DPRK summit — the first in history — was an epochal event of great significance in overcoming decades of tensions and hostilities between the two countries and for the opening up of a new future, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un commit to implement the stipulations in (their) joint statement fully and expeditiously."

Fat chance.  Kim got exactly what he wanted from this meeting, without giving up a thing.  Why would he capitulate now?  Do you think he gives a God damn what Trump thinks about him or says about him, after Trump administration officials have called for his death on numerous occasions, only to collapse right in front of his eyes?

Bridget Johnson, PJ Media:  Trump Agrees to Stop U.S.-South Korea Military Exercises, Says He Trusts 'Very Talented' Kim"

Oy.  Talented like Trump, in being born into a rich family.  A very useful talent, as it turns out.

PJ Media Staff:  "Trump makes history."

He sure did.  So did this guy, who also was a right winger who thought you could trust a dictator:

Hey, you know what's funny?  Every time Obama did anything he got compared to Chamberlain by Republicans, but so far not a single one of them has compared Trump's performance at the summit to Chamberlain.  Funny, huh?

David P. Goldman, PJ Media:  "Trump Could Be One of America's Great Foreign Policy Presidents"

Ha ha.  He could give it all up tomorrow and register at Hogwarts too.  Just about as likely, since either one of these outcomes is a total fantasy.

Tyler O'Neal, PJ Media:  "Inside Germany’s Thriving Nudist Culture"

Oops, that didn't have anything to do with North Korea.  Sorry.  Sometimes Green Eagle has trouble staying on topic.

Bridget Johnson, PJ Media:  "Kudlow: Trump Lashed Out at Canada as Show of Strength to North Korea"

Finally, proof that telling a big enough lie can give you a heart attack.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "AMAZING! Trump Showed Kim Jong-Un Powerful Video Promising “A New World”

I'm not going to make you watch this video, which is on virtually every right wing website this morning.  You can find it easily enough if you really want to see it.  It is one of the stupidest pieces of propaganda you will ever see.  Hopefully Kim got a good laugh out of it, because it sure didn't have any other effect on him.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "PRESIDENT TRUMP Shows Kim Jong Un an Inside View of “The Beast” After Historic Summit"

He showed him the inside of his car!  I bet that blew Kim away.  A massive diplomatic victory!  This is how pathetically far even a liar like Jim Hoft is having to go to find anything good to say about Trump's performance at this "summit."    Or how about this vital reporting:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Kim Jong-Un Arrives at Summit Meeting with President Trump – Carrying Briefcase (VIDEO)"

CARRYING BRIEFCASE!!1!111!!!!!    A major scoop missed by everyone else!

And oh, I guess we can afford to include a little something that isn't about the summit:

Pat Boone, World Net Daily:  "Warning: Divine judgment awaits Trump-haters"

Okay then.  Pat Boone.  Right.

Pat quotes the Bible:

“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.  Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God … and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.”

A Bible quotation that was appropriately suspended during the administration of a Black President, but then Republicans always know best about the will of God, right?

Thomas Lifson, American Thinker:  "Kim Jong-un flies home to sell the deal to the North Korean ruling elite...In order for this deal to move forward and realize its potential, Kim is going to have to convince the rest of the Pyongyang power elite to go along. I now find myself in the shocking position of rooting for the brutal dictator to succeed."

Rooting for a dictator for the first time.  That's only because you were too young to have rooted for Hitler.

David Prentice, American Thinker:  "None of us, no one I have read, no one I know, expected Donald Trump to be a giant in foreign policy.  No one expected him to reshape the world."

And hey, if turning your back on our democratic allies in favor of love affairs with dictators makes you a giant, that's just what he is doing.  Hooray!

Joel Pollack, Breitbart:  "Nancy Pelosi Trashes Trump over North Korea Summit…But Called Iran Deal ‘Diplomatic Masterpiece"

That's called telling the truth, Joel, something I know you don't have a lot of familiarity with over there at Breitbart.  Oh well, when they've got nothing, I guess Pelosi is a good bet to fall back on.

Breitbart:  "Oncologists Protest After Officials Release Latest Cancer Revelation: DID GERMANY BURY A TRUE CURE FOR CANCER?"

Off topic again, but I just wanted to point out to you that you never see things like this at Daily Kos or Crooks and Liars.  I think I can be pretty confident in telling you that any website that promotes Cancer quacks can't be trusted about a single thing.

Well, enough of this.  The same pathetic rationalizations are everywhere in wingnut world today, but you've had a fair sample.  Let's just go out on this:

Before It's News:  "The Kim/Trump Summit, the Rothschilds and the Financial War Are All Linked"

Because of course they are.
