Ha Ha, Here We Go Again

The absolutely inevitable news, featuring a right wing mass gathering that has now received months of publicity in both the wingnut and mainstream media:

"Organizers of a week-long far-right festival planned for the University of California, Berkeley called off the event on Saturday, less than 24 hours before it was due to start and amid suggestions the event may have been little more than a student stunt.

Lucian Wintrich, of the rightwing site Gateway Pundit and a scheduled speaker, told the Guardian organizers knew as long as a week ago the event could not proceed.

“The entire thing is a complete disaster and unfortunately makes us all look very unprofessional,” he said."

Although no more "unprofessional" than every one of the literally dozens of these purported events that I have tracked here.  It's not without a cost, however, to somebody:

"The cancellation of Free Speech Week, which had been due to feature rightwing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos and other speakers, was announced by campus spokesman Dan Mogulof.  Mogulof told the Guardian he estimated UC Berkeley had spent more than $100,000 on security for Free Speech Week that could not now be recouped."

UC Berkeley, i.e. the taxpayers of the State of California.

So, as usual, they get to fundraise, i.e. con people out of their money, for months, we pick up the tab, and as the rules go, we all just forget their grotesque failure, and the whole thing starts again.  That is the real Conservative world- grifters and their marks, working together to make this a worse country. And Republicans get another free ride to promote their hatred to the nation, with hardly a voice to complain.

How did they ever win the election when they can't even organize a festival? Oh yeah, they had help from Russia!

IS the unbelievable quality of your blog due to dipsomania or to derpitude?

I think it's due to dotardhood. Of the people I write about. They make it so easy.
