The Wall

A prediction:

Well, it is obvious that Trump cannot come up with the money to build his promised wall, nor is it even feasible to build it across large parts of the border with Mexico, as anyone who has been to, say, Big Bend National Park will know.  So, what to do, to avoid another gigantic humiliation?

Here is what I think will happen:  Trump will find enough money somewhere to start building the wall, and then actually build a few miles or a few dozen miles of it, which will be utterly useless, except for propaganda purposes.  The completion of the wall will then fall into the same hole as Obamacare repeal; always promised, but never happening.  His deluded followers will take his meaningless gesture as having fulfilled his promise, and the rest of us will just move on to his next abomination.  That's how he wins until we are sick of winning.

Instead of needing a 21 ft ladder to get over his 20 ft wall, anyone can save the money and walk around the unfinished end of the wall.

Jerry, I work in the movie business. We build, say, a prison wall, and those lame-brained actors never seem to notice that the wall ends ten feet out of the shot. I'm working on the belief that Trump voters do what they are told to, just like all those extras in the prison yard.

It certainly does appear that they often only think what they are told and to evaluate or think about it. It Trump say it, it must be true. End of story.

Instead of "...they often only think what they are told and to evaluate or think about...", it should have been "...they often only believe what they are told and don't evaluate or think about..."

And then he'll claim "I never said I was going to build a wall. I never said Mexico would pay for it," and his surrogates will have to invent another euphemism for lying.

I saw a poll last week revealing that 3% of Trump voters are having reservations about him. These people are lost forever.

I eagerly await the Tax Reform bill nonsense. Everything else, to me, has just been a warm up for the slithering pole of goo that Bill will attempt to codify.

Well, everything that isn't about more for rich people is irrelevant to Republicans. As I have said a thousand times, the Republican party has not, for decades, been a legitimate political party. It is a corrupt criminal conspiracy designed to plunder our nation's wealth and turn it over to the rich sociopaths who finance the whole thing.

There's one obvious choice for musical accompaniment for this post:

Another Brick in the Wall.

This pick is Green Eagle's favorite.
