Wingnut Wrapup

The Wingnuts have been such a bunch of whiners lately, that Green Eagle has been neglecting his duty to plunge into the depths of their idiocy.  However, we'll try to get back on track today.

Let's start out with the results of a poll from National Review Online about Mitt Romney's recent trip abroad:

I could almost finish this whole column right here, but on we go:

Mike Adams, Town Hall:  "My Speech to the NAACP...I believe your organization is no longer necessary and is on the balance harmful to race relations in America"

Well, thanks for your opinion, Mike.  Of course, you also believe that democracy, freedom and the middle class are  "no longer necessary and is on the balance harmful to race relations in America."  I guess we should just all give up and go home.

Here's another laugh line from Mike's imaginary speech:

"The main reason you need to vote for Mitt Romney is that such a vote would do much to end racism in your organization and racism in America."

Like the product of dividing something by zero (Mike's IQ in this case,) Mike's appetite for self delusion is infinite.

Tim Dunkin, Renew America:  "Barack Obama is jealous of small business owners"

Them: plumbers and Burger King franchisees.  Him: President of the United States.  So much to feel jealous about.

Alan Caruba, Renew America:  "Whether a movie theatre in Colorado or the attack on an entire nation, it speaks to the madness that exists worldwide, emanating in the Middle East"

Even though the Aurora shooting had absolutely nothing to do with Muslims, it's still their fault. Cross madness with racism and what do you get?  You get Alan.

Town Hall:  "Did Romney Invest in the Abortion Industry? (Answer: No) "

Nobody said he did, of course, just that he invested in a company that disposed of the dead fetuses.  But thanks for clearing things up, Town Hall guys.

Pamela Geller, American Thinker:  "Obama's Passport Breach: Unanswered Questions, and an Unsolved Murder...Back in March 2008, the State Department launched an investigation of improper computer access to the passport records of Barack Hussein Obama...Then, a month later, the key witness in this case was murdered...During the 2008 presidential election, I ran a number of stories at my website, AtlasShrugs.com, on the breach of Obama's passport.  Fast-forward to four years later, and there is no new information.  Why is this murder case not being pursued?  Who at the State Department is covering up Obama's passport breach?"

"Why is this murder case not being pursued? "  Maybe because "there is no new information?"  No, it must be another sinister Obama conspiracy.  And of course, Pam fails to mention that this "breach" happened under the Bush State Department, and there was never a shred of evidence that it was motivated by anything but idle curiosity.   And just to top things off, the murdered man actually had absolutely nothing to do with the Obama case.  Thanks for that fine investigative reporting, Pammy.

John McLaughlin, American Thinker:  "As the situation in Syria worsens, governments around the world have suddenly begun to worry about chemical and biological weapons held by the Assad regime...If - and many of us believe when - the Assad regime decides to use these bio-chemical weapons; these WMD, against the rebels, and if the spent shells are found to possess Iraqi markings of manufacture, anti-war Democrats and Progressives here in the United States will have been complicit in what is tantamount to genocide..."

Yeah, but what if they are found to have Martian markings of manufacture, huh?  What then, buddy?  This is something you ought to think about, because there is exactly as much evidence for my theory as for yours.  And by the way, when are pro-war Republicans going to admit having been complicit in the million civilian murders our military committed in Iraq?  That is a real slaughter, not a claim as loosely connected with the truth as John Carter of Mars.

Kathy Shaidle, PJ Media:  "How Women Ruin Romance by Talking Too Much"

Man, have these people retreated into the past.  What the hell is wrong with them?

And now, here's one from our side:

Talking Points Memo:  "Scientist: Jellyfish Made Of Rat Cells Could Lead To ‘Better’ Human Organs"

A  cross between a jellyfish and a rat. You mean like this?

Jonah Goldberg, Town Hall:  "What's Behind Hatred of Obama?"

Oh, I'd say a few hundred million dollars in corporate propaganda, and a willingness by people like Jonah to tell any lie, no matter how contemptible, if someone pays them enough.  That pretty well sums it up for me.

World Net Daily:  "Obama donates cash to himself..President gives $5,000 to own campaign"

This is considered a gigantic outrage by the right, apparently.  Here are a couple of the comments on this post:

"A sign of the times. You know socialism is a dead end when the social schmucks start stealing money from himself to give to himself"

"It has to be real bad when the crook has his hands in his own pocket."

No mention, in the article of the $44.6 million that Mitt Romney donated to his own previous Presidential campaign.  As usual, okay for Republicans, a mortal sin for Democrats.

And now, what may already have won the "Delusion of the Century" award:

Little Pammy Geller, American Thinker:  "Mitt Romney's recent triumphal tour of Britain, Israel, and Poland struck me as a much-needed and most welcome apology tour for Barack Obama's abject abandonment and humiliation of our most loyal and trusted allies...Romney kicked off his apology tour with a much-needed repair mission to our closest European ally, Great Britain... it is a masterstroke on Romney's part to campaign on Obama's failures and visit key locations of those failures, such as Israel and Poland...Romney's apology tour should be keystone of his campaign."

Man, reality doesn't mean much on their side of the fence, huh?  "Romney's apology tour should be keystone of his campaign"...Please, please, PLEASE, Pammy, convince him to do just that.  "Elect me President...I can't go eight hours without making a total ass of myself."

Of course, she really isn't that much more loony than this:

Breitbart.com:  "Bitter: Media Caught Lying to Distort Romney's Successful Overseas Trip"

Breitbart.com:  'Kiss My A**': Media Coordinate to Try to Foil Romney's Trip"

Right- he actually did great.  It's all the media's fault that everyone thinks he made a fool out of himself every chance he got.

Ted Belman, American Thinker:  "Romney's Jerusalem Doctrine...By acknowledging he was in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, Mitt Romney laid out a Middle East policy path for his presidency, should he be elected."

Yeah, a Middle East policy that will make it virtually impossible for the United States to have any positive role there as long as he would be President.  Nice work, Jerk.

Breitbart.Com:  "Wrigley Co. Uses Bestiality to Sell Skittles"

Having a little trouble coming up with something to be outraged over these days, huh?

Well, enough.  Bye for today.

What if the Syrian WMD shells have U.S. markings - courtesy of Uncle Ronny and his bff Rummy? More than a little likely after all.

One can only hope that Mitt has as triumphant a campaign as he did a tour of Europe.

It's great that you have the energy to take these things on in detail, and I salute you. I'm glad that there are people around who can manage it day after day. It's too depressing for me to tackle it head on, I just come at it from the sides from time to time.

To be clear, in judging these goings on, I'm with you Mr. Green.

It's such a shame what has happened to our wonderful, if imperfect country. The future? Oy, vey ist mir! I wish us all luck.

Fred, it's been really depressing me lately too, and there are a lot of days when I can't face it. I've sort of given up thinking that I'm accomplishing much here except keeping myself from bothering my wife too much with it all.

P.S.

Fred, I just clicked on your link. I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I am with anyone who lists "The Monolith Monsters" as one of their favorite movies. Right on, brother.

You are very kind, and thanks for the visit. If it helps you, you have good skills and a good voice, and I think that this blog has real merit. I'm here five days a week and I always enjoy myself. Thanks again for your efforts.
