Wingnut Wrapup

Well, let's just start out with a very, very small sample of the filth the right is spreading about "Weinergage."  Do I need to remind you that it seems that Congressman Weiner didn't send this alleged twitter post and the "victim" swears she never received it?  Of course, when did the truth or common human decency stop Republicans?  Well, here we go, through a very dirty looking glass:

Town Hall:  "'Weinergate' Scandal Escalates...Rep. Weiner Evades Questions about his Twitter Troubles"

He evades questions about something that never happened.  That just goes to prove what a scum he is, and by extension every other Democrat on earth.  Whereas when a Republican cheats on his wife, it means nothing.  NOTHING, I tell you.

Guy Benson, Town Hall:  "Democratic Congressman Battles Mounting 'Weinergate' Scandal "

Mounting, because Republicans won't stop spreading the smear, even though it's a lie.  Compare that to the years of coverups that the Republicans perpetrate when it's David Vitter or Ensign or the toilet stall guy or the Republican congressman who molested congressional pages or the governor in Argentina or Ted Haggard or all the other right wingers taking a little walk on the wild side.  They couldn't catch a Democrat at something like this, I guess, so they just had to make it up.

Daily Caller:  "Weiner’s office refuses to say if lewd photo is of congressman. No police investigation underway."

Because, sad to say, spreading malicious lies about public figures apparently isn't illegal.

American Spectator:  "Others have gone farther than Breitbart's writers, seeing Friday's "Twitter incident" (as Politico called it in their headline) as part of a pattern of Weiner's online behavior. The congressman, who last summer married a longtime aide to Hillary Clinton, appears to have exchanged private direct messages (DMs) on Twitter with more than one attractive woman"

And? I guess he should be sticking to certifiably ugly ones.  Maybe he could write to Ann Coulter.

Peter Ingemi, New York Post:  "Too Many Coincidences In Weiner’s Tale...those on the left trying to paint this as a conspiracy must deal with an array of odd elements that an increasingly tech-savvy public may find suspicious:"

Let's take these one at a time:

"* Not just the offending picture but most of the congressman’s pictures were removed from the site."

Of course, the "offending picture" was never on his website.  Even Republicans aren't stupid enough to post pictures of their penises on their websites.

"* Not only did the young lady’s Facebook and Twitter accounts disappear from the ’Net (she’s apparently since started a new Twitter account, and may go back on Facebook), but also her bylines on articles in her college paper."

She started a new Twitter account, because she was being attacked and threatened by right wingers on her old one!  Well, that proves...what?  Other than that right wingers are scum, which we already knew.

"* The congressman made it a point to tweet what time an East Coast interview would be shown in Seattle, where the young lady’s from."

He tweeted the time an interview he gave 3,000 miles away would be shown on TV!  That really proves he was up to something with this woman he never met.

"* Cordova reportedly wrote in the college paper in March about Twitter’s verifiable accounts giving access to celebrities."

Well, that's this guy's "proof" that something is up.  Pretty thin, huh?  They can't even be bothered to craft a good lie any more.  Well, they don't need to, I guess.  Their teabag followers will believe anything malicious, no matter how preposterous.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "CNN: FBI and Capitol Police ARE NOT Investigating Rep. Weiner’s “Hacking”… But He Did Lawyer Up "

Yeah, Jim.  He lawyered up to sue you guys for libel.  Get ready.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Bill O’Reilly told his viewers tonight that he will demand that the FBI offer a statement to his show tomorrow on the Weinergate “hacking” incident."

And who could possibly refuse a "demand" from Bill O'Reilly?  I mean, he is never interested in anything but the truth, right?  Otherwise, he wouldn't work for Fox News.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Florida Republican Rep. Cliff Stearns is demanding an investigation into cybersecurity issues raised by Weinergate, saying it is vital to “ensure our national security.

And as usual, Jim Hoft wins the prize:  Yes, this penis picture could threaten our national security.  God in heaven above, these people have no decency.  And no sense of humor.

Well, on with the rest:

Town Hall:  "CNN Poll Puts Obama Approval at 54%... Skeptical?"

Because it couldn't be true that people approve of Obama.  Not after all the money Republicans have spent to put an end to that.  This poll must be a gigantic deception.

Joel Mowbray, Town Hall:  "Obama’s Mideast Failures Spur Congressional Action...It has been two weeks since Arabs marched on Israel's borders on four sides"

Two weeks since Arabs protested.  And the result...well, nothing.  But it still proves that Obama is a failure.

Town Hall:  "SarahWatch: 'This isn't a campaign bus'

No, it's a parade of assholes- Sarah Palin and the press idiots that follow her around, helping her to bilk the American people.

Pam Geller, Atlas Shrugs:  ""Barack Obama's decision to play golf on Memorial Day was disrespectful and hardly presidential"

Golf.  What a sin.  Well, that just proves how much he deserves to be impeached.  Or else it proves how little Republicans have managed to really dig up to complain about.  Take your pick.

Ben Shapiro, Town Hall:  "Hollywood Hates Conservatives"

Right you are.  Say, weren't you in a movie about twenty years ago, Ben?  What happened to your career?  Not enough parts these days for people that can play pompous, evil jerks?

Ben Howe, Red State:  "Obama Seeks Final Death Blow to Auto Industry."

Like he did when he wanted to destroy General Motors and Chrysler?  Oh wait...that was you guys.  Obama saved those two American car companies.  Maybe he saved them just so he could deal them a death blow.  We know how much he likes death blows.  Oh wait, he's a great big wimp.  Wimps never like death blows.  Dear me, now I don't know what to think.

Confederate Yankee:  "You'd never know it occurred thanks to the US media that dutifully ignored the story, but Barack Obama used Memorial Day as an opportunity to squeeze in a round of golf"

Oh man, the golf thing again.  What a sin!  He played a round of golf over a three day weekend.  I guess he needs to work EVERY SINGLE DAY, to make up for the record number of vacation days taken by George W. Bush.

Henry Lamb, Renew America:  "Sustainable development or sustainable freedom"

Because apparently we can't be free unless we are destroying our granchildrens' lives.  What a world.

Dov Fischer, American Thinker:  "Stop It Already -- He's Not So Smart...The media would have us believe President Obama is a genius, with brains to spare. Really?"

Oh no, anyone can be the editor of the Harvard Law Review.  Sarah Palin did it...twice, right?

Nancy Morgan, American Thinker:  "Why The Elites Hate Sarah Palin"

Because if she becomes President, she"ll destroy the country in about six months?  That's my guess, in case you're really wondering.

News Cottage 3-  "Miami Beach Shooting: Memorial Day Weekend 2011 - South Beach A 'War Zone"

Funny, News Cottage jerk...I've been down here in Miami for two and a half months now. I'm looking at Miami Beach at the moment from my 45th story balcony on Biscayne Bay.  I haven't found anything in South Beach but a lot of sand, some good Cuban food on Lincoln Road, and a lot of really big Mojitos.

I guess I missed the war.  Maybe it happened in some other Miami Beach.
