Good riddance

It's about fucking time.

At least we've finally seen the end of perhaps the most corrupt person ever to sit on the Supreme Court, and the one with the least respect for the rule of law.  Don't expect me to spend one second feeling anything but thrilled and relieved that this malignant fascist has gone to his eternal punishment.  The only sad thing is that he didn't die in prison, which is where he has belonged at least since he joined four other corrupt Republican Justices to make George W. Bush President.

Of course, this monster hasn't been dead more than a few hours, and Republicans are already screaming that Obama has no right to appoint a successor, for reasons that we hardly need mention.  And we all know that even if he appointed Jesus Christ himself, the Republicans are going to do everything they can to frustrate him, so in the chance that a Republican is elected President, we can have another crook on the Supreme Court to replace Scalia.

Thanks for continuing to prove your stupidity about governmental processes. He did nothing illegal, certainly nothing to go to jail for. Just because you disagree with his decisions doesn't make him a criminal, but your you show again your lack of knowledge of the process. Jerks like you who have no clue what you are talking about, but scream criminal. What a dumb fuck.

Wow What an evil person you are. He was a well liked man and was very good friends with Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Were you also rejoicing after 9/11?

I'm with you, G.E., and agree that the world is a better place today without this malignant criminal on it.

P.S.- It's now a few hours later, every Republican on earth is cursing Obama for intending to carry out his Constitutional duty to appoint a new Justice, and I'm bored with things already. Just one more chance for the Republicans to show what anti-American traitors they are.

Bravo, Green Eagle. Scalia was a corrupt theocrat. He didn't call "balls and Strikes" as the GOP claims to want. He made decisions based on his feelings, his twisted religiously beliefs, and his ideologies. Clearance Thomas was his student, and is still on the beach for which he was never qualified. Thomas never asks questions and never writes opinions. I think Scalia and Thomas are tied for the worst Supreme Court justices of both the 20th and 21st centuries.

And besides all the twisted beliefs, I believe nothing but massive corruption can explain his decisions in Bush v. Gore and Citizens United. These came not from any sort of ideology or belief in the Constitution, but from a deliberate attempt to serve the hyper rich at the expense of all of the rest of us. We now live in a country where all of the money and all of the power is concentrating in the hands of less than two hundred families, and there is no one on earth more responsible for that, except perhaps Ronald Reagan, than Scalia.

Rufus Wheeler Peckham, anyone?

(He's the author of Lochner, and hated government regulation except for Jim Crow laws.)

He did call balls and strikes, just like legendary 19th century umpire <a href="https://books.google.com/books?id=UyUNlDsfSaYC&pg=PA28&lpg=PA28&dq=%22dick+higham%22&source=bl&ots=SFV73-K9Df&sig=fisGNzwcGQ2rVLAin08y9Lit8Mw&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi91bufx_bKAhXEdj4KHRvYDFk4ChDoAQgjMAI#v=onepage&q=%22dick%20higham%22&f=false>Dick Higham</a> did.

Somehow, when I think of Scalia, Higham's the only MLB umpire that comes to mind.

Of course that's not what the Republicans are saying. Leave it to you to lie about what they said. What a dishonest, hate filled, lying asshole you are.

Time out for you, Anonymous, until you are done with your tantrum. We're not your parents here, and don't need to put up with it.
