Wingnut Wrapup

Articles We Won't Be Reading:

Matt C. Abbot, Renew America:  "Noted priest weighs in on Israeli-Palestinian conflict"

Boy, I bet that guy has a lot of helpful suggestions.  Maybe he thinks things would be better in Palestine if they had a lot more child rape- give those youngsters something to do in their spare time.  Well, at least you can go on to the rest of Wingnut Wrapup today, secure in the knowledge that nothing you read below could possibly be more worthless than Matt's article.

Tim Dunkin, Renew America:  " It would appear that my predictions for election night were quite a bit off. I know that at this point, I'm supposed to write out a big mea culpa for being off so badly...But I'm not going to.  This is because I don't think I was wrong."

Of course not, Tim.  You were right, right, right!  It's the universe that was wrong.

Jen Schroder, Renew America:  "Peaceful warning to U.S. government & guide to petitions to secede by state..."Sign at your own risk." We the People have been warned by our own conservative talk show hosts, alerting us to the fact that we are giving up our names to be easily used by the White House. I appreciate the concern, but expressing our desire to secede peacefully is not a useless effort. It is a warning to all politicians on both the right and the left that Americans are becoming fed up with this march to absolute tyranny...Yes we are identifying ourselves just as the patriots did in 1776. It wasn't easy for our founding fathers to sign declarations. They knew they were risking their lives when they picked up that pen. "

The founding fathers were risking their lives, Jen.  And what, exactly are you risking, other than revealing yourself to be an ignorant, petulant baboon?

Anita Staver, Renew America:  "Petraeus scandal: soap opera or serious business?"

Soap opera.  Grow up already, Anita.  Obama won.  Deal with it.

Darren Weeks, News With Views:  "HURRICANE SANDY, MARTIAL LAW AND FEMA CAMPS: REHEARSAL FOR FUTURE AMERICA?"

It's a good thing you put that all in caps, Darren.  Otherwise we might have had trouble figuring out that you are a crazy person.

Chuck Baldwin, News With Views:  ONE GOOD THING THE REELECTION OF BARACK OBAMA HAS ACCOMPLISHED..."Tens of thousands have put their names to secession petitions in 20 states, asking that they peacefully become independent from the rest of the country.  I, for one, applaud the hundreds of thousands of Americans who have signed their State's petitions for secession. If nothing else, it demonstrates the resolve and determination of freedom-minded people throughout the country who are more than "fed up."

Fed up.  Yeah- fed  up with having a black President.  Well, tough luck, race haters.  He won.  Funny how the rest of us would rather have a black guy than a Wall Street vulture running the country.

Michael Moriarity:  "God’s not letting either America or the rest of the child-aborting world off the hook. World War III is now beyond even divinely ordained! It is bottomlessly inevitable.

The Southern Bible Belt is thinking of creating a New American Confederacy…and seceding from Barack Obama’s Obama Nation! Yes, breaking away from the United States and possibly provoking a Second Civil War!!  I’m not in love with the name, Second Confederacy, but I know that whatever it’s called, Allen West may prove a greater American President than most of the previous Presidents in the White House."

You go with that, Michael.  And yes, this is the Michael Moriarity who was replaced by Sam Waterston on Law & Order when Moriarity descended into mental illness.  He's still down in the hole, I guess.

Warren Beatty, American Thinker:  "Why the Secession Petitions?  While the MSM has prominently reported on secession petitions, it has failed to address why they have become so numerous and popular."

Oh, that one is easy.  They've become so popular because there are a bunch of racist right wing pigs in this country who can't accept the reality that they don't get to tell the rest of us how to live any more.  So, rather than deal with it, they have decided to just throw a big tantrum.

And no, thank heaven, unlike Michael Moriarity, this is not that Warren Beatty.

Phyllis Schlafly, World Net Daily:  "Rebrand the political parties...It’s time to change Republican economic policy so the party can be rebranded as the party of family, good jobs and superior weaponry that keeps America safe without war...The Democratic Party should be rebranded as the party of atheism, amnesty, abortion and debt."

Rebranding.  Yeah, that's right.  Big lies about yourselves and your opponents.  That's going to work really well.  In case you didn't notice, Phyllis, that's what you guys tried this time.  Works great, doesn't it?

World Net Daily:  "Top Israeli rabbi tweets prophecy"

Well, isn't that interesting.

Charlotte Libov, Newsmax:  "Can Cheating Wreck Your Health?"

Well, my wife is from New Jersey.  So if a couple of broken arms and a concussion counts as wrecking your health, in my case the answer would be yes.

Walter E. Williams, Town Hall:  "President Barack Obama narrowly defeated Gov. Mitt Romney in the popular vote 51 percent to 48 percent. In the all-important Electoral College, the difference was larger, with Obama winning 303 electoral votes and Romney 206. Let's not think so much about the election's outcome but instead ask: What's so good about democracy and majority rule?"

Right- Let's not think about the election's outcome.  Democracy- it's worth nothing, if it keeps choosing Democrats.  Because regardless of the vote, only Republicans have the right to run things.  Well, here's a taste of Walter's argument:

"The founders of our nation held a deep abhorrence for democracy and majority rule. The word democracy appears in neither of our founding documents: our Declaration of Independence and Constitution"

Of course, neither do the words "Capitalism" or "free enterprise."  So I guess the founders of our nation hated them too, huh, Walter?

"Today's Americans think Congress has the constitutional authority to do anything upon which they can get a majority vote."

And that is just ridiculous.  Congress obviously was intended to have the constitutional authority to do only those things on which they can get a majority of the Republican vote.

Ned Ryun, Red State:  "I Think Sometimes We are Truly a Stupid Movement"

At last!  An honest wingnut!  Oh wait, sorry:

"No, I take that back.  I think we sometimes are too smart for our own good."

Right, Ned.  Too smart.  That's your problem.  You're too smart.  I knew I shouldn't have fallen for the silly notion that there is an honest wingnut somewhere.  Oh well.  Even Green Eagle gets fooled once in a while.

"The Drive By Pundit," American Thinker:  "The despair on the right is real, but it needs to be tempered with a little optimism from the knowledge that reality always in the end trumps fantasy."

Reality always trumps fantasy?  You mean like the last election day?

And a new horrible Benghazi scandal:

Kate Hicks, Town Hall:  "White House Refusing to Release Benghazi Situation Room Photos "

Which is, apparently, for some reason, a huge scandal at least TEN TIMES as big as Watergate!!!!!

Ann Coulter, Town Hall:  "How many more votes would Romney have gotten by being a rude, condescending jerk? Sure, it worked for Obama, but he was the incumbent. "

Yeah, if only Romney had been the rude, condescending jerk that Obama was.  Good point there, from Ann, who also claims during this piece, that Carter and Obama are the two worst Presidents in history, while Reagan was one of the two best.  I wonder who the other one was, Herbert Hoover?

Harry R, Jackson Jr, Town Hall:  "A year ago last spring, during my first trip to Israel, I was shocked at how close Gaza is to Israel."

Never looked at a map, huh, Harry?  I guess it never occurred to you that Gaza is so close to Israel that it is right next to it.  Still, you know enough, I guess, to shoot your mouth off about things over there.

Rick Moran, PJ Media:  "the Implementation of Obamacare Will Make the GOP a Majority Party"

People hate being healthy.

David P. Goldman, PJ Media:  "An Opportune Time for Israel to Attack Iran’s Nuclear Program...Morsi's blackmail, Iran's threats, and Turkey's fears play out in Gaza."

Excellent logic here.  Things happening in two unrelated countries totally justify an attack on a third country.  At least, if American warmongering cowards can have their way and manipulate a fourth country into carrying out their hallucinatory plans, sparing them any cost.  Republican diplomacy at its finest.  Thank God Romney lost.

Jeremy Egerer, American Thinker:  "GM Wins, America Loses...GM made for an effective emotional talking point in the 2012 presidential election, but what did we really get when we propped up the failing car company?"

Oh, about a million jobs and two thriving huge companies, as well as hundreds of parts suppliers, etc. who are still in business.  Not much, when we consider the depression we could have had if "business friendly" Republicans had their way.  Because it would have all been worth it if only we could have destroyed the United Auto Workers.

Bruce Walker, American Thinker:  "The left's post-election celebrations are wholly unwarranted...In short, the Democrats have a big problem -- and no good way out of it."

Winning- a big problem.  Keep telling yourself that, Bruce.  See how it works out for you.

Astute Bloggers:  " LET'S MAKE ALLEN WEST SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE
THE MAJORITY IN THE HOUSE CAN ELECT ANYONE THEY WANT AS SPEAKER.
I NOMINATE ALLEN WEST.
IF HE'S NOT INTERESTED THEN ... SARAH PALIN.
IF SHE PASSES THEN...  MARK LEVIN.
SERIOUSLY"

Seriously.  Demented idiocy reaches a new height.

Astute Bloggers:  " HMMM: OBAMA CLEANING UP LOOSE ENDS IN BENGHAZI!?!?!  A senior Libyan security official was assassinated outside his home in the eastern city of Benghazi, officials said on Wednesday.

HMMM...FIRST THE AL QAEDA REFERENCE MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARS FROM THE SUSAN RICE TALKING POINTS AND NOW THIS."

AND NOW THIS!  First, the Obama administration tried to protect its intelligence assets in Libya, despite Republican insistence that it all be made pubic.  And now, someone, somewhere is killed.  Obviously, Obama flew over there and shot him.  I mean, what else could be the cause of a "security official" being killed in an Arab country?

Leah Barkoukis, Town Hall:  "Menu Labeling: Another Job-Killing Regulation in ObamaCare "

Because our economy will collapse if people are allowed to know what they are eating.

Michael F. Cannon, Town Hall:  "Why ‘Obamacare’s Critics Refuse to Give Up’

Let's just ignore Michael's blather and cut to the chase here.  It's because they are stupid, greedy, malicious jerks.  The ones who are not corrupt liars in the pay of the insurance companies.  There- I think that just about sums it up.

Allen West:  "Serving the people in the House of Representatives has been among the highest honors of my life,” West continued, “but this seat does not belong to, or for that matter, to any individual."

Oh yes it does, Allen.  From now on, it belongs to Patrick Murphy.  Deal with it.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Kirsten Powers on Obama: Nominating Susan Rice as Secretary of State Would Be His Undoing...Kirsten Powers was asked on FOX News Sunday if Barack Obama will nominate scandal-plagued UN Ambassador Susan Rice as Secretary of State:

“I don’t know. I think if he does though it could be, that kind of arrogance, which I think it would be, would be his undoing. Because if she is put under oath and is forced to go through and answer all of these questions about Benghazi, it’s going to put the administration into a really bad position."

Dream on, idiot.  First of all, 99.99% of the American people have forgotten about Benghazi long ago, and second, you are lying.  You know that Susan Rice had nothing directly to do with Benghazi, and just said what intelligence experts wanted her to say, to protect American secrets.  Of course, now the whole world knows about that, thanks to Republican jackasses and their smears.  Thanks a lot.

And finally, this piece of unlimited gall from one of our friends at the deeply religious site Renew America:

Michael Oberndorff, Renew America:  "The Constitution has been allowed to become just a "damn piece of paper" and our rights something determined by government, not God. Our military is being gutted. Our religious heritage is being crushed and our freedom to express our religious beliefs is being destroyed. The police are being turned into paramilitary forces, with unlimited surveillance powers, and groups reminiscent of the Brown Shirts of Nazi Germany are being given the same power as the police. All this and more, without a peep of protest from those we thought were our representatives in what used to be our government.

I, for one, do not recognize the new government as legitimate, and hereby withdraw my consent to be governed by it. The Secession Movement is the best thing to happen in this country since 1913. I fully support it. What about you?"

Well, sorry, jackass.  You are going to be governed by it whether you like it or not- in prison or out.  Unless you renounce your citizenship and move to a country whose government is more to your liking- say, the Sudan, or Pakistan.  And someday, I wish you would explain to me about the groups "reminiscent of the Brown Shirts" that you are talking about.  I bet that would provide a good laugh for Green Eagle, who could really use one.
