Wingnut Wrapup- Let the Whining Continue

Well, after a couple of days of relative quiescence, the Wingnuts seem to finally be whipping themselves up into a frenzy again; and once again, Green Eagle was there:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Catholic Leaders: If Obama Pursues HHS Mandate, There Is 100% Chance There Will Be Civil Disobedience"

So fucking what, Jim?  Unless Catholic "civil disobedience" consists in raping a few thousand more children, which, really, wouldn't surprise anyone.

Grover Norquist:  “Republicans have passed a real budget in writing in legislative form, not some essay and haiku in what they think might be done which is what the president has done.”

Of course, it is a real budget that will economically destroy the country.  Grover forgot to mention that.  But it is real- really stupid and evil.

Leo Linbeck, PJ Media"  "now (Obama) will reap what he sowed. His pretense of being a uniter, someone who can reach across the aisle and work together to solve pressing problems, lies in ruins. Whatever reservoir of goodwill and trust that existed in January 2009 is now bone dry."

Listen, Leo, that reservoir was bone dry before Obama was elected.  Goodwill and trust from the Republicans?  Don't make me sick to my stomach.

Alan Keyes, Renew America:  "Needed: a political home for God-acknowledgers"

How about Pakistan, Alan?

Michael Gryboski, The Christian Post:  "Texas Megachurch Pastor Says Obama Will 'Pave Way' for Antichrist..."what I am saying is this: the course he is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist."

On the same page of the Christian Post, this story:

"'Twilight Breaking Dawn' Leading Teens to Bloodletting, Vampire Covens?"

Is it just me or is this story more credible than the one about Obama?  And in a specimen of institutional hypocrisy that is breathtaking, this pastor has this to say:

"Mitt Romney is a Mormon, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Even though he talks about Jesus as his Lord and savior, he is not a Christian. Mormonism is not Christianity. Mormonism is a cult"

While on the same page is a link to an article filled with outrage about this:

"A pro-Obama voter guide being circulated to black church members in Virginia before Election Day compares Christianity to Mormonism in what appears to be an effort to dissuade voters from considering Mitt Romney because of his faith."

Really, what hope is there with people who think like this?  (spoiler: none.)

Now, shall we all get a little hysterical?

Darren Jonescu, American Thinker:  "Did you happen to catch the end of civilization on TV last week?  The 2012 U.S. election will likely be judged by men thousands of years hence as a world historical event, on a par with the Peloponnesian War, the assassination of Julius Caesar, the Copernican Revolution or the Battle of Waterloo."

The Peloponnesian War.  A little carried away there, Darren, or what?  Here's a little glance into Mr. Jonescu's thinking:

"We speculate, for example, on how different America, and consequently the world, might have been had Abraham Lincoln not been elected in 1860, or Ronald Reagan in 1980."

Yes.  Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan...the same thing. The man whose truths brought new hope to this country and the man whose lies destroyed our economy.  Just for your information, Mr. Jonescu, the main thing that would have been different if Reagan had lost is that we wouldn't have seen the economic dominance of the United States destroyed due to an orgy of theft by the rich.

Town Hall Headline:  "Reid Vows Filibuster Changes in Next Session-Republicans Threaten Partisan Warfare Over Rule Changes"

Republicans threaten partisan warfare- now, there's news.

Katie Pavlich, Town Hall:  "Sex Scandal Reveals Why There is a Benghazi Coverup... they had to find an alternative story to cover-up what really happened"

More vital news from Town Hall's favorite lying bimbo.  Of course, Petraeus' affair has absolutely nothing in the world to do with what happened in Benghazi, but it is a great excuse for Republicans to start screaming out their lies about it once again.

David Limbaugh, Town Hall:  "Before We Give Up, Could We At Least Try Selling Our Ideas?"

If we just spend more hundreds of millions of dollars, the American people are really going to go along with starving so we can give even more to the rich.  Once they understand how fair that is, how could they help but be for it?

Mona Charen, Town Hall:  "It's Hard to Be a Republican"

Deal with it, Mona.  It was your choice.

Dennis Prager, Town Hall:  " The most widely offered explanation for Mitt Romney's defeat is that the Republican Party is disproportionately composed of -- aging -- white males.  That is, alas, true.  Maybe Minorities' Values Need Changing"

Right, Dennis.  Obama won because minorities are morally inferior to old white males.  You go with that, and in 2016, spend your billions on it as your main campaign theme:  You are inferior, so you must vote for us to rule you.  See where it gets you.  After all, it worked for the Emperor Palpatine. Oh wait...

Breeanne Howe, Red State:  "I’ve always been fascinated with numbers in the Bible..."

I think we've already read enough of that one.  On we go...

Repair Man Jack, Red State:  "Demand that the House to do the following.
1) Pass a budget that totally allows the US to go off the Fiscal Cliff.
2) Refuse a continuing resolution until the US Senate does likewise.
3) When the Senate self-righteously and arrogantly refuses, refuse to raise the debt ceiling
4) When Barack Obama rails against them, remind him firmly, yet politely that the House has passed a budget and stands more than willing to work with the US Senate anytime they choose to actually fulfill their legal and Constitutional obligations."

I.e. throw a colossal tantrum that would be the envy of any out of control two year old, and try to sabotage the country because Republicans lost the election.  I mean, really, what other choice do they have?

Larry Kudlow, Human Events:  "Don't Go Wobbly, GOP"

No, stay straight on your path to self-immolation.  Green Eagle couldn't agree more.

David P. Goldman, PJ Media:  " David Petraeus and the Failure of American Intelligence...The Obama administration's fixed idea of engaging radical Islamists will have the same result as trying to cuddle with your pet scorpion."

General Petraeus had an affair, and that proves that Obama's Mideast policy is completely wrong.  Yeah, that makes sense.

Robert Spencer, PJ Media:  "David Petraeus and the New Style of American Politics...If you think the CIA director resigned over an affair, you probably also believe that Muhammad filmmaker Mark Basseley Youssef is in prison because of a parole violation."

Yeah, and you probably also believe in global warming, and despite all of the billions spent to teach you otherwise, you probably don't believe that letting rich people pay no taxes will raise government revenues.  Boy are you dumb.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Depite Obama’s Best Efforts – Shale Boom Projected to Turn US into Largest Oil Producer"

"Despite" Obama's best efforts.  More inciteful analysis from the Internet's Biggest Dumbass (TM).

Lloyd Marcus, Renew America:  "Has America become a huge duck pond?"

No, Lloyd, I don't think it has.  I can see right out my window, and no ducks.  So, you can go back to your nap now.

Ralph Benko, Town Hall:  "The End Of The Karl Rove Death Grip Signals A Reagan Renaissance...Liberals do not grasp the distinction between Ronald Reagan and George Bush. This blind spot creates a massive confusion and hazard to their ambitions. Obama defeated neither the Reagan Narrative nor Team Reagan. Team Bush appropriated, and then marginalized, both. Obama beat Team Bush, not Team Reagan. The implications are huge."

Yeah, the implications are huge- the implications that Ralph Benko doesn't even live on this planet.  "Team Reagan."  How cute.

Jen Shroder, Renew America:  "20 States seeking to Secede; What are the godly to do?"

Oh, I don't know, how about turning the other cheek?  The other cheek of your rear end, I mean.  We're pretty much done kicking the first one.  Jen pretty much lays out the condition of the country, in typical wingnut style:

"We have been abused far too long. Our taxes are funding abortion mills, forcing atheism on our children through multiculturalism and evolution in public education, our right to bear arms has been chipped away and is continually threatened as are parental rights. Because of the United States Supreme Court , our children can be told to get on their hands and knees to repeat the Muslim prayer that Allah is the only god worthy of worship and Mohammed is his prophet because it is claimed to be done in "demonstration;" meanwhile the word "Christmas" is banished as are the Ten Commandments and all things Judeo-Christian."

So, what is Jen's answer to her oh-so-pertinent question of how Christians should respond to the actions of a pack of malignant dumbasses?

"First, we can join a different party. It matters not if it wins or loses, what matters is that you are standing on the right side when Christ comes."

That will help restore the economy, yes sir.  And what about secession?

"We can pursue to secede, but we need leadership. If godly men and women will stand up and lead us, then we should pursue this action wholeheartedly. I am praying that God would send those leaders because without them, secession would result in bloody chaos."

'Bye, Jen.  Don't let the door hit you and all that.  Jen finishes:

"May God have mercy on us."

Amen to that.

Well, let me end on a personal note:  This is Green Eagle's 3,000th post.  What a noisy bird.

I don't know how you slog through this all the time. You should include Romney and Ryan blaming "gifts" to "urban voters".

Gene,

Really, it doesn't take that long. There's just so much there. Sad to say.

First-time reader here (Via C&L). The more I hear about secessionist fantasies, the better it sounds, and Jen Shroder's rationale has me convinced. That she thinks her taxes are funding abortion mills and an activist SCOTUS is, simply, perfect.

Well, let me agree... as I live in a blue state that sends far more to Washington DC than any red state and gets far less back. Here's my thoughts: Our taxes are funding an assault on reproductive rights. Red state legislatures have been busy passing laws forcing women to go through unwanted, unnecessary and invasive medical procedures. This Supreme Court overturned 100-year precedent allowing non-living, non-breathing "people" to have more influence on our political system than actual living, breathing persons. And their school boards have denied science and math to young students -- some as young as 5 years old! -- nation-wide for so long, we are losing the ability to compete globally for advancement and achievement in technological areas.

So, secede, you brave patriots! Leave the greatest country in the history of the world, and please, please build a hundred-foot-high wall on your borders to imprison yourselves in your own, little fantasy land... err, I mean, keep us out. Good bye, good luck, and good riddance.

To all those morons who want to secede I say this: America, love it or leave it! And I think we all know which choice you are making.
