A Sad Day in the Music World

Jim Marshall died today, at 88.

Dave Dubya said...: Back then, Marshalls were the only amps Jimi could turn up to "11" without destroying. Sunn and Fender tried providing amps for him, but they couldn't take the volume.

Also, have you noticed Jimi would prefer Gibsons (SG, Flying V, even a Les Paul in one photo) for his blues, and a Strat for the cosmic stuff?; April 5, 2012 at 8:10 AM
