"She got a $280 medical bill in error and was told she didn't have to pay it," The Associated Press reports. "But the bill was turned over to a collection agency, and eventually state troopers showed up at her home and took her to jail in handcuffs."

No contraception. No Social Security or Medicare. No college for the poor, and for that matter, not much of any public education system. No health care for the poor either. No law for the rich, and nothing but punishment and deprivation for everyone else.
And yet such a huge majority is not willing to see the horror that is staring this country in the face, while the hyper rich spend billions to keep them blind. We are in the process of retreating into a nation of the ugliest barbarity, while people still parade around screaming about how we're the greatest country ever. I know talk like this seems like the grossest exaggeration to most Americans, but unfortunately, it is all too true.
