Team Normal
So now we learn from close Republican advisers that there were two groups of Republicans in the White house- "Team normal" and Team, I don't know, maybe "Team Putin."
This is nothing but a renewal of the great myth of the "good Republican," in service of all the White House staffers who, as far as we can tell from the actual historical record, went along with Donald Trump's criminality on every issue, every single time they had a chance, and are now trying to salvage their own careers from the disaster they helped create.
Message to America: There is no such thing as a good Republican. Oh, maybe there were a few way back in history: Abe Lincoln, or Dwight D. Eisenhower. But that came to a dead end with the resignation of Richard Nixon.
See, the Republican party learned a big lesson when their leader was forced out of office for corruption. And that lesson stemmed from the fact that it only took five or six honest Republican Senators to side with the Democrats, to get rid of this guy. Never again. Never would the megadonors that really own the Republican party allow a single candidate with a mind of his own, or a shred of humanity, to ascend to high office. And it worked. They purged the party completely of any remnant of decency that still existed, so that now we have what we have- a Republican party absolutely devoid of "normal" human beings. And don't expect that to ever change- it's worked too well for them.
So don't give me that "normal" crap. They are all criminals, even Liz Cheney, who is only siding with the Democrats because otherwise, Trump is going to destroy the family dynasty that her father cheated, stole and killed to build. They are all corrupt; they are all traitors, they are all monsters. Forget that at your peril.
