Tell the Whole Truth, Ron

“This is your fault,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) told Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.“Are you suggesting I’m enjoying this?” McConnell snapped back."

No answer from Ron.  He should have said this:  "Of course, you are enjoying it, you malignant son of a bitch.  There's nothing in your whole misbegotten life that you have ever enjoyed more than your chance to show your naked power and run roughshod over the interests of the American people.  You are now going down as the worst majority leader in the history of this country, in order to satisfy your lust to hurt people."

Yeah, Ron stuck his neck out to tell half the truth, but right now, half the truth is not enough.

You only need to look at what a rage the hard right is in at the end of the shutdown. Yes, they're alarmed that Trump caved and looked weak, but deep down they relish the suffering of non-rich people. In their secret fantasies they probably wished the shutdown could go on forever.

Here's the only sad thing: We are seeing a significant dip in Trump's approval ratings at the moment, but do you think it will last more than a week or two before all the Republican base jumps right back on the bus, just before it goes over the cliff? Remember the saying, "Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line." I'll be stunned if we don't see Trump's ratings right back at 40 or 42% by mid-spring.
