Caravan

"President Trump, who claimed a "crisis" forced him to order National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, said Thursday that a border-bound caravan of some 1,000 migrants fleeing violence in Central America had broken up inside Mexico."

Darn!  I was really hoping to head down to the border to get a look at that.
I just hope the camels are all okay.

This idiot just doesn't stop.

I believe the bird in your header is a Periquito Frente Naranja. An Orange-Fronted Parakeet. They are one of my favorites noisy but a lot of fun to watch. Hell raisers for sure.

This bird is, or was, a red lored amazon. He was our pet for many years until he was killed by a miserable groomer. He was an extremely friendly bird, and we have never forgotten him. The picture was taken by my older son, who is an extremely good portrait photographer, as well as having done a lot of motorsports photograpy, particularly in rally racing, until the field essentially disappeared.

Well, nobody gets points on this blog for parrot knowledge. I'm sure he is looking down on you from parrot heaven, pleased that you liked his picture enough to comment about it.

Very much seeing macaws too but none for a while and generally they are not too close. You hear them before you see them. There are supposed to be a bunch just upriver from Boca La Tomatlan. Will try that before I return - YIKES!

At the Fifteenth Hole at The Masters today, Sergio Garcia hit five Balls into the Water. His Score of thirteen is the worst for a single Hole at The Masters.

I say this because after reading your Post, I concluded Garcia had a better Day today than you did.

[How is the above for an Insult?]

Green Eagle, did you ever consider that the bird in the header may have lied to you about his nationality and immigration status? That orange-fronted parakeet sounded good!

GE, I remember the post where you announced your parrot had gone ahead and I can still feel your pain and anger (though you do have a lot to be angry about anyway). At least you immortalised him via this blog.
Trump once praised our very average prime minister on the subject of immigration by inferring Australia was crueller than America. We have been and continue to be bastards on that issue, but unlike with Trump it's not a point of honour.
