Sweets for Murder
Here is something that showed up on my Facebook feed today:
Anyone who suggests that anything Israel has ever done is equal in its abomination to the glorifying of murder of innocents, raping and killing of old women, slaughter of children, and kidnapping them and keeping them in bird cages, is a truly perverted monster.

"A young fellow tied to a tree and set on fire. A woman and an old man shot in back. Girls lined up against a wall and shot with a submachine gun. The testimonies collected by filmmaker Neta Shoshani about the massacre in Deir Yassin are difficult to process even 70 years after the fact."
How did Israel treat the people responsible for Deir Yassin? From the IMEU:
"The massacre was committed by members of the Irgun and Stern Gang, led by Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir, respectively, who would both go on to become prime minister of Israel. "
What happened at Tantura? Let Haaretz tell us: "There's a Mass Palestinian Grave at a Popular Israeli Beach, Veterans Confess [.] The Israeli veterans of the 1948 battle at Tantura village finally come clean about the mass killing of Arabs that took place after the village's surrender"
At Kafr Qasim, the Israeli government massacred its own civilians - Arab, of course. From Le Monde : "The documents show that the soldiers thought they were part of a plan to forcibly drive out Palestinians from the center of the country to the neighboring West Bank, which was then under Jordanian control."
More recently, Israel killed children when bombing a hospital. From CNN : "One patient and four people visiting the hospital, three of them children, were killed in the strike, according to health workers. At least 30 were injured, they said."
How were some Israelis reacting to this murder of children? From the Guardian : "As the sun begins to sink over the Mediterranean, groups of Israelis gather each evening on hilltops close to the Gaza border to cheer, whoop and whistle as bombs rain down on people in a hellish warzone a few miles away."
Needless to say, such crimes against humanity do not justify killing other civilians, despite what some may think. However, according to Green Eagle, just mentioning these incidents makes one a "truly perverted monster."

By the way, Anonymous, I have repeatedly stated on my blog that I have been utterly opposed to the Republican mole Netanyahu, since the late 1990's, when I first became aware of what a monster he was- I am sure years before you ever heard his name. I can only hope the the faint silver lining of this very black cloud that struck Israel will be that enough Israelis will see how utterly disingenuous his claims to be protecting them are, and he will be thrown into the trash heap of history.
