Trump, Part Two

In which I will document in my usual fashion the right wing reaction to the recent revelations of his true attitude toward our military, which, may I note, is entirely in keeping with his attitude toward everything else in this world.

Again, if you have not read the original report of this nauseating behavior, by Jeffrey Goldberg at the Atlantic, I strongly recommend that you do so.

Matt Vespa, Town Hall:  "The Atlantic Peddles Total Fake News to Smear Trump and Torpedo His Relationship with the Military...They’re not even trying to make their anonymous fake news believable anymore. Goldberg and his ilk are just mad that Trump has refused to create thousands of more dead soldiers by sending them off to fight ill-advised new wars all over the world."

"How about y’all stop lying. Then again, we all know why you keep getting faces full of buckshot. You don’t care. You’ve never cared. Because at the end of the day, you’re all just Democratic operatives masquerading as reporters."

As if the "reporters" like Matt at right wing websites are any different.

Bonchie, Red State:  "The Latest Garbage Hit Piece On Trump Begins to Fall Apart as Verifiable Counter Evidence Emerges... this story is obviously nonsense. Trump has always made it a habit to laud the military, including those that have lost limbs or died. Any disagreements he’s had with military members have always centered on politics, usually involving someone attacking him first. One can argue the wisdom of some of his counter-attacks, but there’s no evidence Trump has ever held animosity towards those in the military.

This is a patent lie.  And let me note once again that the account in the article is in total keeping with what we have always seen in Trump's behavior

Dan Scavino and Stephen Miller were also both there – and deny Atlantic story...Lastly, John Bolton, who is fresh off writing an anti-Trump book, even corroborates the above email, mentioning nothing about Trump slandering military members as well."

Dan Scavino, Stephen Miller and John Bolton- three right wing stooges that have never shied away from the most abominable lies if it serves their purpose.

"I expect more people to go on record saying this story is simply false over the course of today."

More right wing liars with no shame about serving their malignant prince.

Mollie Hemingway:  "Yet more on-the-record debunking of @JeffreyGoldberg’s anonymously sourced hit piece...“White House officials deny Trump disparaged war dead and say he was 'livid' he could not visit French cemetery”

In this White House, "White house officials deny" is hardly what passes for debunking.

Stephen Kruiser, PJ Media:  "'The Atlantic' Barfs Up 2020's Worst Trump Hit Piece Yet...The whole article is pathetic. Goldberg pretends to be legitimately curious about Trump’s patriotism but the thing reads like something a drunk BuzzFeed intern wrote after his daddy told him he was disappointed again...Trump’s former press secretary Sarah Sanders was on this trip and said that Goldberg’s story “never happened.”

Sarah Sanders...someone with a verified reputation when it comes to telling the truth.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "The Atlantic Posts Ridiculous Hit Piece on President Trump and His Treatment of Veterans — President Trump Responds to Junk Report...The BS hit piece comes as President Trump continues to surge in the polls following the RNC convention and continued leftist riots across the country.

Trump is absolutely not surging in the polls, so Jim is openly lying about what motivated this "BS hit piece."

Monica Showalter, American Thinker:  "Stench of lies: The Atlantic runs fake news about Trump supposedly calling fallen servicemen 'losers'...Trump adores the military and honors America's heroes.  He adores them so much that the left, up until now, has called him a "Nazi" for it, which is about par for the left.  it ought to be treated with complete contempt. It's pretty creepy what kinds of lies you can get out there if you find the right media vehicle and hide behind the curtain of anonymity."

More lies.  Trump adores nobody but himself, and believe me, anyone who has called Trump a Nazi has not done it because he honors America's heroes.

Charlie Spierling, Breitbart:  "Donald Trump Furious at The Atlantic Claiming He Disparaged Fallen Soldiers...“They made it up and probably it’s a couple of people that have been failures in the administration that I got rid of and I couldn’t get rid of them fast enough,” he said. “Or it was just made up, but it’s unthinkable...“What animal would say such a thing?”

Of course he is furious.  The truth always makes him furious.

I repeat, the account of Trump's behavior in this article is one hundred percent in keeping with Trump's known behavior, but the above excerpts are examples of the only thing that his supporters will ever hear about his betrayal not just of the military, but of common humanity.  As a result, what should bring an almost immediate end to his evil career will hardly affect his support one bit.  I will be surprised to see even a two percent drop in his support, in the face of this monstrous behavior.

And now this update:

Fox News chief security analyst Jennifer Griffin:  "Two former sr Trump admin officials confirm .@JeffreyGoldberg reporting that President Trump disparaged veterans and did not want to drive to honor American war dead at Aisne-Marne Cemetery outside Paris."

When Fox News says it, things really look bad for the old Trumpster.  Expect some really angry tweets the next couple of days.
