Bolton Stabbed in the Back by his Buddies

 So, Trump and Barr have cooked up a criminal complaint against John Bolton for publishing his book of revelations before the "security review process" was completed.  


I don't give a damn about Bolton, who is as disgusting a right wing warmonger as anyone short of Heinrich Himmler, but here is something that no one who reported on this story seems to have noticed.  The "review process" had already stretched out several times as long as a review normally takes.  What we all know is that it would have never been completed, and Trump intended to throw Bolton in prison for speaking the truth about him, whenever he did it- just like he and Barr did with Michael Cohen.  This was not a security issue, it was just one more move by Trump to mangle the notion of justice in the United States to make it a crime to tell the truth.  So, spare me the idiotic claims about how terrible it is to reveal anything that Trump wants kept quiet.  We need a lot more people to speak the truth about what they know, and let God sort out the bodies afterwards.  After all, that risk of being imprisoned by a dictator is what they bought into when they signed up with Trump.


Update:  It is now several days since I wrote what is above, and just for the record, I want to repeat something that just appeared in the Washington Post (9-23.)

It is an endless source of distress to me to see the mainstream press, over and over again, ignore what is obviously going on with Republican corruption.  The press hides behind some alleged absolute standard of journalistic evidence to avoid stating the truth about Republicans, but has no problem serving as an echo chamber for endless Republican smears which everyone knows are totally groundless.  And thus we end up with one political party and one criminal conspiracy vying to control the country.

Hamas

  Of ocurse I am going to take the opportunity to talk about the Hamas attack on Israel.   First, I'd like to talk about my background, or baggage, regarding the country.   I have lived in Israel, some years ago.   This was not for religious reasons; I spent several months there working on a movie.   During pre-production, weeks of location scouting and shooting the movie, I was all over the country, and spent a fair amount of time in the West Bank, where we also shot.   This included a lot of places that normal tourists would not see, including predominantly Arab areas such as East Jerusalem, the Arab quarter of the old city, Ramla and the southern part of Jaffa, which is predominantly Arab.   It also included heavily Orthodox areas like Mea Shearim.   I dealt with Israeli Arabs, Palestinians and Bedouins.     Here are a few things I believe I learned there:   First of all, the Palestinians I knew were perfectly normal people with the same interest in living a safe, secure
