If they knew, Orange Julius had to know as well, and that puts his failure to mobilize the government sooner to try to mitigate the spread and potential effects of the virus in a new light. His claims about hitting the ground running at the first sign of the problem can be shown to be false just on this circumstantial evidence. There was no way he didn't know about it much sooner than when he finally acknowledged there was a huge problem and started to act.
It's also no coincidence that the Lyin' King was running around spouting nonsense downplaying the seriousness of what was going on at the same time these Senators were doing the exact same thing.
I have to wonder if there was any chance he did some shady dealings himself.
