Appomattox

Maybe not that important, but I think it is worth remembering that today is the 150th anniversary of the surrender of Robert E. Lee at Appomattox, thus effectively ending the Civil War.

A good many Tea Party members still haven't gotten over it.

But of course, they expect the people of Iraq to "get over" the hundreds of thousands of their people that we killed for nothing, just ten years ago. Because really, who cares about brown people?

The dems don't care about brown people especially if they are Christian or live in the inner cities

A number of Southern apologists say that slavery would have ended slavery even without the Civil War. How silly! The Koch brothers want slavery today. Although their slavery is for all of us, not just black people.

Absolutely right, Joseph.
