The Same Old (False) Story
The New York Times, still hiding from the truth: "Republican Party Unravels Over Trump’s Takeover... G.O.P. leaders fear their party is on the cusp of an epochal split between familiar conservatism and a rekindled, atavistic nationalism. The crisis over Donald J. Trump reflects years of fraying ties between party elites and voters." I know I am going to get really boring between now and November, finding different ways to say the same thing, but let's get something straight right now: There never were any "ties" between Republican party elites and the suckers that they lied into voting for them; the whole system was rigged to use the voters like livestock, to maintain the position of Republican leaders and the rich guys that pay to keep them on top of the heap. That included endlessly betraying their voters, and then mesmerizing them into taking it again. And as for a split, there is really no inconsistency between greed (i.e. "familiar cons...
