"Going places in the Christian rock scene."  That's approximately as impressive as being the 73rd ranked kazoo player in Mobile Alabama on Reverb Nation. I've got some advice for you, Mark.  You claim to be " influenced by blues greats such as B.B. King."  From now on, stick to the blues and show some integrity.  "Christian rock" is about as legitimate as a Nazi Bar Mitzva.  And I wasted a few minutes listening to this band- they suck.  You're lucky you escaped from them. 

Now, imagine how that headline might have been different if this was a gun attack.

You heard it here first. We all know that there is nothing that Republicans would love more than to impeach Obama.  We also know that they won't because they can't get a conviction in the Senate. Well, I'll tell you what:  I think that Obama's betrayal on Social Security, based on the lie that it has anything to do with the budget deficit, is a legitimate cause to remove him from office, in favor of Joe Biden, who I think would remain true to Democratic party commitments to never cut Social Security, and who would not forget the working people of this country. If Obama carries out his threat, to essentially make all the rest of us pay for the damage the rich have done to this country, I believe it's time for real progressives in the Senate to join with Republicans and remove him from office.  The Republicans are open tools of the rich, but it doesn't help us any to spend the immense resources we did to replace them with a covert tool of the rich.

Maggie Thatcher apparently died today.  I don't come here to praise her or attack her, but to point one thing out. The current insane round of economic idiocy called "austerity" in Europe, which is being pursued despite its causing immense damage wherever it is implemented, is a direct descendant of Maggie's economic policies when she was Prime Minister.  Like Reagan over here, she was a patron saint of the notion that whatever was good for the rich was good for the rest of us too, so we can just love it or leave it.  Obama seems to be trying to give us a good dose of the same poison too.  We all know the result will be the same disaster, but no one in control seems to care any more than Maggie and Reagan did.

Okay, if you haven't seen this, you have to watch at least the first little bit of it. Now I'm really scared.

132 people provided 60 percent of all the money that ended up in Super PACs. I have said for years that it's not about the 1%, it's the top 1/1000th of 1%.  I have even gone so far as to fear that we are reaching the point where the entire country is now being run for the benefit of 2000 or so families.  I may have been too optimistic.
