The Guy is Fucking Crazy

From the Wall Street Journal:

"President Trump made his name on the world’s most famous island. Now he wants to buy the world’s biggest.

The idea of the U.S. purchasing Greenland has captured the former real-estate developer’s imagination, according to people familiar with the deliberations..."

Is this guy totally insane?  Does he really not have a clue about what national sovereignty means?  Does he think this would be just a real estate deal, and does he have a clue about how much the bill would be, or does he think he could treat a foreign country like his subcontractors, and just take the land and then refuse to pay?

And more importantly, what do Republicans tell themselves to be able to go along with this without committing suicide?

What does Greenland have that trump thinks he'll profit from? I wonder who's putting a bug in his ear to buy it. I have my suspicions on both questions. I need to research a few things a bit more.

Well, we also got Alaska by buying it. Maybe Trump thinks he can sort of put his stamp on the country's history with a similarly-large, if even more useless, acquisition.

Or maybe he just thinks that if the US government owns Greenland, he can shoo off all the media who keep reporting about melting glaciers.

But Mexico will pay for it

Infidel, I wonder if a few more decades of ignoring global warming and they think this will be prime farmland that they picked up for almost nothing.

It's simply the case that Trump waltzed in and stole all of their voters away from them, using more racism and fear than anyone thought possible. They didn't want him to win, clearly. They DID try to stop him, more than once. Ted Cruz grew a spine that one time at the convention, shocking but true.

And now it's a total hostage situation if you are a Republican. He's a parasite who's got the personality to blow the whole thing up if he gets mad, which is his default mental state. The GOP voters love him more than anyone ever, seemingly.

This could not have happened to a nicer bunch of people, am I right?
