You Can Come Out From Under the Bed Now, Republicans
At various times in the last couple of months, I have been tempted to report on endless predictions by right wingers that various Islamic groups were preparing to carry out massive attacks on the United States on this September 11th. But I didn't bother- too boring.
Well, it's now September 12th, and guess what? No attacks. The thousands of sleeper agents which wingnuts confidently assert have been implanted all across our country apparently stayed home and slept in. No nuclear missiles came zooming at us from Northern Iraq. None of those 12 imaginary stolen Libyan airliners crashed into anything. Nothing. That's what happened.
But keep worrying, Republicans. Because it's bound to happen next time.

Just like the First WTC attacks, which took place on February 26, 1993, only 37 days after the inauguration of Bill Clinton, whom, because terrorists were afraid of Democrats, must have been a Republican.
The simultaneous attacks on the American Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania also took place during the Clinton administration.
Please try harder.
The thing about Bush and Cheney is that they were already too busy stealing all the cookies to worry about protecting the country.
And by the way, they'd better be afraid of the Democrats. The Democrats ran the US involvement in both World Wars, and they won them. Bush ran a war of aggression and turned it into one of the most humiliating military disasters in history.
I bet you eat a lot of Cheetos too.
"Zog, I am sure you really believe that the "terrorists" waited until Clinton was elected, and then 37 days later carried out an attack." -- Green Eagle.
No. I'm just rebutting Jerry Critter's claim that terrorists are afraid of Democrats. It is generally a bad idea to make such blanket statements.
POINT TWO.
" The Democrats ran the US involvement in both World Wars,"
and also ran US involvement in Vietnam for eight years. That did not work very well, as I recall.
"Bush ran a war of aggression and turned it into one of the most humiliating military disasters in history."
Like Kennedy and Johnson helped do in Vietnam.
Nixon, of course, earns a lot of blame, since he deliberately sabotaged peace talks between the Johnson Administration and North Vietnam before the 1968 election. Nixon also decided it was a good idea to extend the war by bombing Cambodia, thus driving many Cambodians into the arms of the Khmer Rouge.
That was even worse than anything Bush the Lesser and Cheney the Dick managed to do -- we have yet to see the Middle Eastern equivalent of Pol Pot. Which just goes to show you, no matter how bad the Democrats are, the Republicans somehow manage to be even worse.
POINT THREE.
I hate Cheetos. They're mostly air, and have an orange color that is found nowhere in nature, but can be found on signs in construction zones. I don't think they're real food.
Improvement?
The error is regretted.
