Bad boys, bad boys Whatcha gonna do?

The following is a blatant theft of mine, but it is, I think, so startling that I am showing it here anyway.  At least I can list the sources for the article, which was written by  Indi Samarajiva   at Medium, who refers to the United States as a "plague state,"  and can be found here.   I got to it through a listing by M. Bouffant at the daily blog roundup at Crooks and Liars.  This is a map of the countries of the world (shown in green) that will still allow people with US passports to enter without a visa: This map was virtually all green two years ago, except for China, Russia, and parts of the Middle East and Muslim countries in Africa. So, if your travel plans this year include Turkey or Tanzania or Antigua, knock yourself out.  Otherwise, stay home in your disease ridden hellhole, sucker.

The Supreme Court Is Wrong

Image
Signing of the Constitution Well, here we go, nine of the most respected legal minds in the country (okay, not Kavanaugh, Thomas or Alito, but whatever) agreeing on something, and Green Eagle, who spent as much time in law school as he did in the Turkish parliament, is about to tell you that all nine of them were dead wrong about the electoral college when they decided that States have a right to force electors to cast their votes in line with the way the people in their States voted.  And yes, this decision is likely to be a boon for Democrats, because it is Republicans that are likely to give in to corruption and vote the way they want.  But it is still absolutely contrary to the intent of the writers of the Constitution, as they made perfectly clear. It is enough to see why this is true to read Federalist Paper no. 68, which deals with the rationale behind the electoral college.  For those who may have forgotten, the Federalist Papers were a series of short doc...

Wingnut Wrapup

Infidel753, in his very kind listing of my last Wingnut Wrapup in the latest of his Sunday Blog Roundups (essential reading which you can find here ) made a comment about how long they have been lately.  Believe me, Infidel, I agree.  I try to demonstrate just how much of this garbage there is online every single day, and the truth is, I could make these Wingnut Wrapups five times as long, but the comments get repetitive awfully fast.  And the paid writers of all this garbage are frantically working to shore up support for their traitorous party, so you can expect things to get worse and worse as we approach election day. Katie Pavlich, Town Hall:  "DNI Ratcliffe Reminds The Intelligence Community: Leaking Classified Information Is a Crime" How about treason, Katie?  Is that a crime too?  Is it a bigger crime than letting the American people know about that treason, Katie?  Is it really okay to "classify" material to keep the American people from ...

Oh, Really? So Glad to Hear It.

From the headline story at the Washington Post today: "Trump’s push to amplify racism unnerves Republicans" Not enough, of course for them to do anything about it.  In fact, not enough for them to not jump on the train with him.  As Trump sinks the country ever further into his nightmare of hatred and death the press is right on schedule to convince the American people that it was all his fault personally, and none of the blame rests on the Republican party for spending decades building an ignorant, savage base that would elect him.  Just the same, let me remind you, as the way they absolved the party of any responsibility for the dimwitted war criminal George W. Bush. Which leads me to boringly repeat Green Eagle's first rule of American politics:  The Democrats could beat the Republican party into oblivion without hardly trying; what they cannot do is beat the Republicans and the mainstream press working together.  Since Republican President Ronald Re...

The Storm Is Here, I Guess

For those of you not familiar with wingnut jargon, "The Storm" is when President Trump finally unleashed the forces of justice against the Deep State and begins serving those 165,000 secret arrest warrants that have been issued against his opponents.  (by the way, no wonder he never gets anything done.  How can he work with 165,000 pieces of paper on his desk?) I guess the legions of QAnon followers out there must be getting tired of being told every single day now for three years that justice is going to come raining down within a couple of weeks, only to be endlessly disappointed, because today, the following list of people that have already been arrested by Trump and the "Justice" department has appeared online.  Get ready for it; it's a doozy: Mitt Romney ARRESTED & AT GITMO   Britney Spears ARRESTED SERVING LIFE   Christina Aguilera ARRESTED SERVING LIFE   Miley Cyrus ARRESTED SERVING LIFE   Bette Midler ARRESTED SERVING LIFE  ...

Down we go.  And I mean down: The Herland Report:  "George Floyd Was Not Killed By Police, autopsy show died from overdose of Fentanyl?  The US media, Democrat Party, white liberals, and the sorry excuse for a leftwing are so primed for “white racism” that they jumped to their desired conclusion..." A new high in self delusion, given that we see him being killed on video by police. Notice even they had to put a question mark at the end of their claim.  They know it's a lie, but that won't stop them from trying to get the rubes from believing it. This comment is intended for anyone that still believes that the people who produce this hateful crap really believe any of it.  The above opinion is the product of one Paul Craig Roberts.  Here are a few of his other contributions to modern American thought: The Anti-American Universities Are a Much Greater Threat to Us than Putin and China   Ignorant Thugs Destroy Statue of Abolitionist Hans Chri...

Capacity Issues

This story is certainly worth a minute of your time  if you are at all interested in Republican political humor: "Georgia voting rights activists push back on claims that absentee ballots cause ‘capacity issues' Capacity issues!  Let's stop people from voting because too many of them want to vote!  And would you have trouble guessing which ones will be eliminated due to "capacity issues?"  Apparently, it never occurred to Republican Georgia legislators that the answer to this problem is to increase the "capacity" until every voter has a right to cast his ballot, as is required by law and common human decency.  No, the answer is to use this ludicrous claim as one more excuse to limit voting to only those they want to vote.  Republican corruption never ends, and extends to every single thing they can get their hands on.  There is no real salvation for this country until this criminal conspiracy, which used to be a political party, is eliminated. ...
