Also you neglect how Obama failed hard when telling us that unemployment would go above 8% with the stimulus. We are at 9.7% and counting.Derekhttp://www.myuncommonsense.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1903235483068862940.post-34598929884794619452009-09-04T10:36:41.743-07:002009-09-04T10:36:41.743-07:00Oh, Derek, do anything to distract us from the act...Oh, Derek, do anything to distract us from the actual fact: the stimulus is working. The quote in my post is from the Wall Street Journal, not noted for providing cover for Obama.

As usual, Democrats do things that make things better; Republicans do things that make things better for really rich people.Green Eaglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13477132834757467690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1903235483068862940.post-55569521143702656822009-09-04T00:14:52.198-07:002009-09-04T00:14:52.198-07:00Funny because the economist at Goldman Sachs said ...Funny because the economist at Goldman Sachs said we'd be out of the recession by mid-2009 last September, before any government aid.

Was it worth the $1.2 trillion? Hell no. The economy is worse off than Obama said it would be if didn't pass the stimulus. The stimulus was all artificial and we are going to have to pay for it bigtime in the long run.

Remember, the people who designed the stimulus bill were the same people who admitted last Friday that they were $2 trillion off on their deficit estimate. I don't trust their math.Derekhttp://www.myuncommonsense.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1903235483068862940.post-18078130322759809352009-09-03T13:26:26.711-07:002009-09-03T13:26:26.711-07:00Well, of course, if things get worse, it's Oba...Well, of course, if things get worse, it's Obama's fault; if things get better, he lied about them being so bad, and therefore doesn't deserve to be President.

Heads I win, tails you lose.Green Eaglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13477132834757467690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1903235483068862940.post-10643016951181960962009-09-03T06:11:53.834-07:002009-09-03T06:11:53.834-07:00Same thing here. And we've thus far avoided recession altogether - as it is commonly defined as two consecutive quarters of negative growth.

Treasury, which is independent, credits government stimulus - which was opposed with due ideological diligence and obstinate contrariness by the conservatives, and who now rightly look like twits.magpiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08690258860393548951noreply@blogger.com
