Media Concern Trolling At Its Finest

The lead story from the Washington Post today!  The lead story!

"Liberal hostility toward Trump aides could galvanize the GOP base...

Recent displays of anger directed toward members of the Trump administration — such as the White House press secretary being asked to leave a Va. restaurant and a speech by Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) — could play into the president’s hands."

Do you ever remember any of the mainstream media truly concerned that the avalanche of hatred directed nonstop by Republicans toward Democrats for decades could galvanize the Democratic base?  Never.  Because, in fact this headline article is not a kindly meant warning to the Democratic party that a howling mob of millions of Republicans might attack them because some pathological Republican liar is kicked out of a restaurant.  No, it is in fact a barely veiled threat that if Democrats do not shut up and take a few more decades of that abuse, the mainstream press, even its most allegedly responsible members, is going to go on a campaign to accuse Democrats of being loathsome subhumans, while as usual ignoring the monstrosity that the Republican party has become.

This article amounts to throwing down the gauntlet and letting the Democrats know that, in the four months between now and the election, they are going to be savaged for any imaginary abuses the Republicans can think of while the Republicans are going to be let off scot free as they destroy our country.

It happened with the e-mails.  It happened with Benghazi.  And the birth certificate and the Swift boat lies and Whitewater and Vince Foster and the Clinton murder list and Travelgate and Christmas card gate and on and on and on and on.  And the press collaborated with the Republicans, willingly spreading their poison every step of the way.  But let someone not want a lying right wing scum in their restaurant, and the entire Democratic party has to be punished.  Because this is worse that stealing several thousand kids and putting them in concentration camps. It's worse than taking health care away from tens of millions.  It's worse than giving trillions of dollars to rich Republican donors and then paying for it by savaging Social Security and Mecidare. You know, I haven't seen any articles about how any of that might galvanize Democratic voters.

I've said this so many times:  The Democrats could crush the Republican party out of existence without hardly trying; what they cannot do is beat the Republicans and the press working together.  And that is what we have in the United States today.

A Little More:  Charlie Pierce taking on the same nonsense from the same newspaper in a piece at Esquire today, worth a read as is anything he writes.  Let me just note that the Washington Post article he rips to shreds is an editorial, not the FUCKING LEAD NEWS STORY OF THE WHOLE PAPER.

Exactly and few get it it seems. This is the way Dims need to frame things.

If they do, the press will beat them up for that.

I think the story is telling Democrats that they need to start making arguments that are backed by reason and evidence.

It happened with Trump himself. I know. If only. Shoulda coulda woulda. The press, the DNC, the Russians, the Electoral College. All these and more made his installation possible, and the lack of any one of those things could have stopped it. But the press is supposed to be an integral part of out democratic process. They are specifically protected under the Constitution and their collusion is a huge stain. Sad!

I, for one, would love to dip the Trump base in molten zinc. Let them get galvinized.

I just want to say that I am anxiously awaiting the e-mail that I know is coming from Gary david any day now, telling me that there is $10 million dollars waiting for me in the Bank of Ouagadougou, if I will just forward the processing fee to him.

Of course we'll get corporate media's "bothsiderism" and lectures for the lesser offenders.

It's no problem Milo Yiannopoulos said in a text message: “I can’t wait for the vigilante squads to start gunning journalists down on sight.”

It's no problem the racist thug in the White House demeaned, lied and threatened: "Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person...has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!” Trump

It's no problem death threats followed that lie and false accusation.

Those uppity liberals just need to know their place, respect authority, and shut up.
